Powell, placed fourth, Annie Lavinia, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed sixth and Kitty Bear, ridden by S. Coen, unplaced, where it appeared Kitty Bear got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.A. Powell stated that coming into the bend things got tight but that he maintained his line. C.D. Hayes stated that his mount was keen going into the first bend and things became congested. S. Coen stated that he felt pressure from the two horses on his outside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action. Mr. B. Slattery accompanied S. Coen at this enquiry.

Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.A. Powell, rider of Chestnutter, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of the whip Regulation and stated that one of his strikes was for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found J.A. Powell, in breach of R.10.3 (g) (frequency) and having considered his record (first offence under Regulation 10), they suspended him for two racedays.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident inside the final furlong involving Ina Mina (GB), ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed sixth, and Santa Princess, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, placed fifth, where it appeared Santa Princess drifted right carrying Ina Mina off his line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
