R.P. Whelan, rider of Harry's Bar (GB) trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right under pressure.
T.P. Madden, rider of Santosha trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was short of room for the last furlong.
Una Manning, authorised representative for J. S. Bolger, trainer of Smash Williams, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that their charge was lame behind post race.
166B Dubai Duty Free Summer (Fillies) H'capM.P. Sheehy, rider of Deidra trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left for the last furlong.
166C GAIN Railway StakesS. Foley, rider of Albion Square (GB) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount boiled over going to the start.
S.M. Crosse, rider of Andreas Vesalius trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got a little tight for room inside the last furlong.
C.D. Hayes, rider of Castle Star trained by J.A.Stack, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount rolled right in the last furlong.
The Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong involving Andreas Vesalius, ridden by S.M. Crosse, placed sixth, Castle Star, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed second and Dr Zempf (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane, placed fourth, where it appeared Dr Zempf had to check for a stride. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S.M. Crosse stated that he felt some pressure from his inside but it didn't affect his finishing place. C.D. Hayes stated that he was going for a gap when his mount leaned right under pressure. C.T. Keane stated that his horse was running a touch green when going for a gap but it made no difference to his placing. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.
166E Dubai Duty Free Celebration StksG.M. Ryan, rider of Saltonstall (GB) trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got very upset in stalls and also got bumped inside the final furlong.
C.D. Hayes, rider of Storm Legend trained by J.A.Stack, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got wiped out at the furlong pole.
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Fourhometwo (GB), ridden by B.M. Coen, placed first and Storm Legend, ridden by C.D. Hayes, unplaced, where it appeared Storm Legend had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. B.M. Cohen stated that he misjudged the gap on his inside and thought he was clear of Storm Legend. C.D. Hayes stated that he was just timing his challenge when his run was impeded by Fourhometwo going for a gap which opened in front of him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that B.M. Cohen was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and considering his record in this regard, they suspended him for 5 racedays.
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Saltonstall (GB), ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed fifth, Georgeville (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane, placed sixth, State Of Rest, ridden by S.M. Crosse, placed third and Belle Image, ridden by R.P. Cleary, unplaced, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G.M. Ryan stated that he was making a challenge when having to check due to pressure from his inside. C.T. Keane stated that his horse rolled out from the horses on his inside. S.M. Crosse stated that his horse exaggerated a maneuvre around the horse in front of him. R.P. Cleary stated that he received pressure from his inside but it did not affect his run. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that S.M. Crosse was in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly and considering his record in this regard, suspended him for 2 racedays.
166F Dubai Duty Free H'capS. Foley, rider of Bopedro (FR) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that he had to check off heels 2 furlongs out.
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Bopedro (FR), ridden by S. Foley, placed third, Alhaazm (GB), ridden by C.D. Hayes, unplaced, and Blue For You, ridden by O.J. Orr, unplaced, where it appeared Alhaazm had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated that Blue For You edged left into a gap he was going for which caused his horse to drift left onto Alhaazm. C.D. Hayes stated that he received pressure from his inside but felt it didn't affect his placing. O.J. Orr stated that his mount was running around but he did his best to keep him straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.
166G Dubai Duty Free Irish DerbyE.J. McNamara, rider of Arturo Toscanini trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room in the final furlong.
B.M. Coen, rider of Earlswood (GB) trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room in the final furlong.
G.M. Ryan, rider of Fernando Vichi trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got very short of room in the first furlong.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined High Definition, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.
The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Arturo Toscanini, ridden by E.J. McNamara, placed seventh, Earlswood (GB), ridden by B.M. Coen, placed fourth, Hurricane Lane, ridden by W. Buick, placed first, Mac Swiney, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed sixth, Mojo Star, ridden by R.G. Ryan, placed fifth and Wordsworth, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed third, where it appeared there was possible interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. E.J. McNamara stated that his horse was getting tired and starting to back pedal when he got tight for room and took a precautionary check. B.M. Coen stated that his horse didn't have the pace to go through a gap that appeared and he had to check. W. Buick stated that his horse hung right while he was passing a bunch of horses but felt he had gone by them before causing interference. K.J. Manning stated that he was in front of the interference and didn't contribute to it. R.G. Ryan stated that he received pressure from both sides which finished his run. J.A. Heffernan stated that he received interference from his outside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that no horse had improved its finishing position and allowed the judges placings to stand. The Stewards did, however, find W. Buick was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and considering his record in this regard, they suspended him for 2 racedays.
R.L. Moore, rider of High Definition trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got hampered 1 and a half furlongs after the start.
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Wordsworth trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room in the last furlong.
166H Dubai Duty Free Irish EBF H'capR.P. Cleary, rider of Hook Head trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran short of room in the last two hundred yards. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
