177A Knockcroghery Claiming H'dle
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of War God trained by E. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped and that his mount hung in the closing stages.
The Stewards enquired into an incident after jumping the last hurdle down the back involving War God, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed second, Emir De Rots (FR), ridden by J.C. Gainford, placed first, Stylish Moment, ridden by P.T. Enright, placed sixth and Viking Hoard, ridden by Mr P. Byrnes, placed third, where it appeared interference had occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.J. O'Keeffe, stated that his mount jumped the hurdle very big and he moved to his left in order to avoid clipping heels. J. C. Gainford, stated that his mount was in front, jumped straight and that he was clear of the incident. Mr. P. Byrnes, stated that he was following the winner, jumped straight and received interference from the inside after landing. P.T. Enright, stated that he suffered interference from his inside, but felt it was of little consequence. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D.J. O'Keeffe was in breach of Rule 214(careless riding) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 2 racedays.
177B Adare Manor Opportunity M'dn H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pay The Fine, trained by Oliver McKiernan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
At the request of the Stewards, C.M. Quirke, rider of Chief Seattle, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount raced very green and rolled around on the bend past the stands on the first circuit.
177D1 Larry O'Farrelly Memorial M'dn H'dleThe Stewards requested a report from Mrs Denise Foster, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Spoiled Rotten, placed first, as compared with its only other previous run when beaten by 76 lengths at Tipperary on 20th of May 2021. Camilla Sharples, authorised representative for the trainer, reported that Spoiled Rotten had disappointed at Tipperary after jumping very poorly throughout. She added that the animal under went intense schooling since and jumped very well today, which she felt had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
177D2 Larry O'Farrelly Memorial M'dn H'dleThe Stewards fined John E. Kiely, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared head gear to Powerful Out, prior to entering the parade ring.
C.J. Orr, rider of Stone Mason trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right throughout.
177E Boyle H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Stansfield, trained by Paul Traynor, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard and to be slightly lame on the left fore post race, having lost a shoe in running.
D.F. O'Regan, rider of Benefit North, trained by C.A.McBratney, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount burst a blood vessel.
177F Tulsk H'cap H'dleJ.C. Gainford, rider of Rock Of Tuskar trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount found the ground too slow.
