J.A. Powell, rider of Dreams Delivered trained by D.J. Bunyan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount anticipated and missed the break, ran free to the first bend and did not handle the ground.

C.D. Hayes, rider of No Show trained by James Joseph Mangan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount refused to race when the gates opened.

The Stewards enquired into an incident at the first bend involving Dreams Delivered, ridden by J.A. Powell and Draco Pulchrac, ridden by C.T. Keane, where it appeared that Draco Pulchrac checked when possibly tightened by Dreams Delivered who raced up on the outer. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, C.T. Keane stated that there was a rush to the first bend and he felt tightening from both sides. J.A. Powell stated that his mount had broken slowly from stalls but began to run free and took him into the bend where he went the inner of Stay Local which had edged right at that point. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental in nature, and they took no further action.

The Stewards advised James Joseph Mangan, trainer, that his charge No Show, which refused to race when the stalls opened, may render herself liable to a suspension if similar behaviour was repeated in the future.

The Stewards interviewed N.G. McCullagh, rider of Stay Local, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, N.G. McCullagh stated that his mount kept edging right in the straight and he had applied the whip for corrective purposes to try and keep the filly running straight. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that N.G. McCullagh was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his clean recent record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned N.G. McCullagh on this occasion.

C.T. Keane, rider of Draco Pulchrac trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was very slowly away out of the starting stalls.

J.A. Powell, rider of Eastern Racer trained by Sean Byrne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room on the first bend and again on the turn into the straight.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Barrys Rock trained by Anthony Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room on the first bend.

O.J. Orr, rider of Kasansay trained by Christopher David Timmons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung in the straight.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Dragon Roll trained by Eamonn O'Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was very slowly away from the starting stalls.

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the first bend involving Eastern Racer, ridden by J.A. Powell, Jazz Dreamers, ridden by B. P. Kennedy, Barrys Rock, ridden by G.M. Ryan and Chimeric, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, where it appeared that there was interference at this point. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, D.W. O'Connor stated that the interference seemed to be a domino effect which cost him a little momentum. G.M. Ryan stated that he received constant pressure from his outside and despite trying to hold his position, his mount got pushed inwards. J.A. Powell stated that his mount received pressure from the outside and got bumped about. B. P. Kennedy stated that his mount felt pressure from the outside and he was trying to protect the riders on his inner but was unable to do so. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference was caused by general bunching and took no further action.
