S. Foley, rider of Simpson's Paradox trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the starting stalls and was slowly away.
116C Sandyford Business District H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Zerinda, trained by Patrick Joseph Hayes, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
Sorcha Woods, rider of Even Flow trained by R. K. Watson, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount did not get a clear run in the straight.
M.A. Enright, rider of Cool Leader (GB) trained by Miss Hilary McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had no luck in running.
116D Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'capThe Stewards reviewed an incident early in the straight involving New Moon Rising, ridden by Cillian McConnell, Stormy Jenn, ridden by R. Whearty and Buenaventura, ridden by H.J. Horgan, where it appeared that New Moon Rising ran short of room and checked. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Arctic Blaze trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that she checked her mount about three and a half furlongs out when rounding the long turn.
Cillian McConnell, rider of New Moon Rising trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not get a clear run up the straight.
116F Bulmers Live At Leop Apprentice H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fox Fearless (GB), trained by Oliver McKiernan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
S.T. McCullagh, rider of Fox Fearless (GB) trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.
116G Women's Irish Network Lady Riders H'capThe Stewards interviewed Miss M. O'Sullivan, rider of The Names Jock, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In her evidence, Miss M. O'Sullivan stated that she had mistakenly taken her hand off the reins to slap her mount a number of times down the shoulder which was not her regular riding style. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Miss M. O'Sullivan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using her whip with excessive frequency. Having taken her previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Miss M. O'Sullivan for two racedays.
