059A Nire Valley Claiming H'dle
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Buzz Light, trained by Michael Mulvany, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be making an abnormal respiratory noise post race and furthermore to have a wound on his right fore fetlock.
059B Knocklofty M'dn H'dleR.J. Condon, rider of En Avant (FR) trained by Louise G. Lyons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left throughout this race.
059C Fourmilewater M'dn H'dleJ.B. Foley, rider of C'est Rien trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was pulled up when the saddle slipped after the first hurdle.
At the request of the Stewards, C.D. Maxwell, rider of Rose Of Kalanisi, trained by Paul Stafford, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran green in the early part of this race and stayed on past tired horses in the latter stages of this race.
059D Cannonwood H'cap H'dleThe Stewards reviewed an incident at the second last hurdle involving Mise Raftaire, ridden by J.M. Moore and Ballyeden Lass, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, where it appeared that both horses collided in mid air and Miss Raftaire fell. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Stewards interviewed Miss P. Elvin, rider of Big Bee Hive, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In her evidence, Miss P. Elvin admitted that she had breached the guidelines on the use of the whip and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards cautioned Miss P. Elvin on this occasion.
059G Russellstown INH Flat RaceAt the request of the Stewards, Mr P.W. Mullins, rider of High City Roller, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled during this race.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined High City Roller, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
