The Raceday Stewards interviewed E.A Murphy, rider of Akmaam (FR), trained by J.F. Levins, concerning her ride in the closing stages of this race where it appeared she did not ride her mount out to the line. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. E.A. Murphy stated that she was having her third ride in public and that her legs got weak and tired but felt she did not stop riding before the finish. J.F. Levins who also was accompanying Ms. Murphy in this enquiry stated this was Ms. Murphys first time in the business end of race but felt she done well considering this was only her third ride in public. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to remind Ms. Murphy of her responsibilities in this regard in the future.

Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. A.C. Persse stated he was in a close finish and just lost count but accepted he was in breach of R 10. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found A.C. Persse in breach of R 10.3(g)(frequency) and having taken his previous record into account they suspended him for 3 racedays.
G.M. Ryan, rider of Static Charge (GB) trained by Joseph G. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount clipped a heel about four furlongs down.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bedelia, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Static Charge (GB), trained by Joseph G. Murphy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have an overreach on his left hind heel and to be sore post race.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed S.B. Kelly, rider of Jazzy Dancer, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. S.B. Kelly stated that he was there with a winning chance and felt his mount was responding to his urgings but accepted he was in breach of R 10.Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found S.B. Kelly in breach of R 10.3(g)(frequency) and having taken his previous record into account they cautioned him on this occision.
