The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Warrior Lion (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
255B Newtownanner Stud Irish EBF StakesC.D. Hayes, rider of Evening's Empire trained by Eddie & Patrick Harty, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen.
The Stewards reviewed an incident at approximately the 2 furlong marker involving Aspen Grove, ridden by M.A. Enright, and Shelton, ridden by W.J. Lee where it appeared Shelton made a manoeuvre to the left which appeared to carry Aspen Grove of its racing line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Stewards requested a report from J.A. Stack, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Aspen Grove, placed first, as compared with its most recent in the Curragh on the 24th of June. J.A. Stack stated that his charge was unsuited by the ground conditions on its previous run and relished the more favourable ground today. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
255E Killashee H'capC. Horgan, rider of Sunset Nova trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got too close to the horse in front of him at around the 2 furlong marker and had to take a precautionary check.
255F Paddy Power Irish CambridgeshireG.M. Ryan, rider of Saltonstall (GB) trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
S. Foley, rider of Cowboy Justice (GB) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never let itself down on the ground.
N.M. Crosse, rider of That's Just Dandy trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced keen early on.
255G Bord Na Mona Recycling Apprentice H'capThe Stewards received a report from Mr. H.T. Hynes , Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Rachel Phelan , rider of Swiss Army Officer , weighed in at 1.3 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that she attributed the weight discrepancy to a drink she had after weighing out. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Rachel Phelan was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore cautioned her on this occasion.
O. Enright, rider of Eriskay trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled when leaving the stalls.
255H DMG Media Nursery HcapJ.A. Powell, rider of Bossy Parker trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced keen throughout.
