The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages of the race involving Mint Man (GB), ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed third, and Smart Impression, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed fourth, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Mint Man (GB), trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right inside the final furlong.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Smart Impression, trained by Daniel James Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was awkward under pressure.

W. Joyce, rider of Construct (GB), trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he gave his mount a strike on the left at the furlong and a half stage causing his mount to drift right.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final two furlongs involving Construct (GB), ridden by W. Joyce, unplaced, Picpoul, ridden by R. Whearty, placed sixth, and Unterberg, ridden by O. McSweeney, placed first, where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W. Joyce stated that he felt his mount duck right after striking him with his left hand. R. Whearty stated that he received pressure from the left. O. McSweeney stated that he was not involved in the incident. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found W. Joyce was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record (third offence), the Raceday Stewards suspended him for eight racedays.

R. Whearty, rider of Picpoul, trained by M.M. Rice, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bump at the one furlong and a half stage.

C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Pierre Lapin, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen.

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Calmafterthestorm, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount missed the break.

S.P. Davis, rider of Venetian, trained by Sean Davis, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Hero Of The Hour (GB), trained by G.A. Kingston, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount could not get a run.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Woodrow, trained by Leanne Breen, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stood in the stalls.

W. Joyce, rider of Silver Nemo, trained by Lee Smyth, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bit tight two furlongs down.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving The Cola Brasil (GB), ridden by C. Martins, placed second, and Prince Of Abington, ridden by O. McSweeney, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. O. McSweeney stated that he received a bump from the right. C. Martins stated that he should have changed his whip hand to avoid contact. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found C. Martins in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (first offence), the Raceday Stewards suspended him for one raceday.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at around the two furlong marker involving Arbaawi, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, unplaced, Hero Of The Hour (GB), ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed fourth, Chummie, ridden by Sorcha Woods, unplaced and Silver Nemo, ridden by W. Joyce, unplaced, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.J.G. Ryan stated that he felt pressure from the right. Sorcha Woods stated that she was unaffected. W. Joyce stated that he felt pressure from both sides. C.D. Hayes stated that he switched left into a gap when coming with his run to avoid running up on heels. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found C.D. Hayes was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record (third offence) in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for eight racedays.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C. Martins, rider of The Cola Brasil (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of R.10.3(g) and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found C. Martins, in breach of R.10.3(g) (frequency) and having considered his record (first offence), they suspended him for four racedays.

022E2 Floodlit Friday Nights At Dundalk H'cap

D. McMonagle, rider of Tynamite, trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had to check twice in the straight. Having viewed a recording of the race and having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was required.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Airgead, trained by Mrs Prunella Dobbs, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away and received a bump after two strides.

022F Leading Trainer&Jockey Championship Hcap

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Volatile Analyst (USA), trained by Adrian McGuinness, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, Sorcha Woods, rider of Rough Diamond, trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount was keen early on, ridden to get the trip and just stayed on.

The Raceday Stewards fined Adrian McGuinness, trainer, €65.00 for failing to fit a tongue tie to Distillate (GB), prior to entering the parade ring.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Jered Maddox (GB), trained by David Marnane, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
