The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Armed And Fabulous, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

328C Marlin Hotel Dublin H'cap S'chaseThe Raceday Stewards interviewed J.P. Shinnick, rider of Emancipator, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J. P. Shinnick was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g) (frequency) and having taken his previous record into account they cautioned J.P. Shinnick on this occasion.
328D Glenman Corporation H'cap S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Captain Jimmy, trained by Patrick G.Kelly, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Da Big Fella, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer Ms. N. O'Connor. In his evidence P.J. O'Hanlon accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) (frequency). He also stated that he was trying to hold his position and keep forward momentum up the long straight. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that P.J. O'Hanlon was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency)and 10.3(f)(excessive force). Having taken his previous record into account, the Raceday Stewards suspended P.J. O'Hanlon for four racedays days.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident after the first fence involving Takarengo, ridden by M.J.M O'Sullivan, placed third, Teescomponentsyess, ridden by J.S. McGarvey, placed fifth, and Captain Jimmy, ridden by S. Fitzgerald, unplaced, where it appeared Takarengo ran short of room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
328G Race In Pink H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards granted permission for hurdle number three to be omitted from this race due to the low lying sun.
