257B Irish EBF Auction Series M'dnThe Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the home straight involving Apollo Prince, ridden by C.D. Hayes, unplaced, Madame Plaintiff, ridden by G.F. Carroll, unplaced, and Sea The Boss (GB), ridden by S. Foley, placed first, where it appeared that G.F. Carroll had to sit for a stride. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
H.J. Horgan, rider of Absolute Advantage (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.
C.D. Hayes, rider of Apollo Prince, trained by Eddie & Patrick Harty, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered in the straight and was eased thereafter.
R.C. Colgan, rider of Saxon Kingdom, trained by M.C. Grassick, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped out of the stalls and dived left.
W.J. Lee, rider of Quickstepping, trained by Natalia Lupini, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung off the home bend and hung right up the home straight.

S. Foley, rider of Quar Shamar (GER), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount moved poorly in the home straight.
257D Coolmore No Nay Never Fairy Bridge StksThe Raceday Stewards interviewed R.P. Cleary, rider of Clever And Cool, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated he used the whip numerous times in front of the saddle as he felt his filly was lying in on top of the horse beside him. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that R.P. Cleary was in breach of R10.3(a) by striking his mount in front of the saddle while the whip is in the forehand position and of R10.3(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency and having considered his record, they suspended him for 5 racedays.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference close to the finish involving Bells On Her Toes, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed fourth, Miramis, ridden by M.P. Sheehy, placed third, and Matilda Picotte, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed second, where it appeared that A.J. Slattery had to check and adjust his racing line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence A.J. Slattery stated that he was forced to check and adjust his racing line after Matilda Picotte had drifted across him. C.T. Keane stated that his filly drifted right under pressure towards the winner. M.P. Sheehy stated that he felt he maintained a straight line and was not involved in the interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.
A.J. Slattery, rider of Bells On Her Toes, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to check inside the furlong pole.
W.J. Lee, rider of Bella Blue Eyes, trained by P. Twomey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received a bump from behind approximately two furlongs from the finish which caused his mount to change legs and become unbalanced.
R.P. Cleary, rider of Clever And Cool, trained by J.S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left in the straight.
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Dame Kiri (USA), trained by A.P. O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was impeded at the start.
C.T. Keane, rider of Matilda Picotte, trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right throughout.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident early in the home straight involving Honey Girl (GB), ridden by D. McMonagle, placed fifth, and Bella Blue Eyes, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed sixth, where it appeared that an incident may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.J. Lee stated that his filly received a bump to her hind quarters and was wearing blinkers for the first time which caused her to overreact. D. McMonagle stated that he was staying on when his filly brushed Bella Blue Eyes but felt it was minimal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.
257F Breens Farm Machinery Apprentice H'capAmy Jo Hayes, rider of Lisgin, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount suffered interference after leaving the stalls and clipped a heel afterwards after going two furlongs.
The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined So Messi, trained by Patrick Martin, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on its left fore post race.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident soon after the start involving Eagles Reign, ridden by J.A. Powell, placed sixth, Believe Me Now, ridden by C. Horgan, unplaced, Ruler Of The River, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, placed fifth, Angel Of The Sea, ridden by M.W. Hassett, pulled up, Lisgin, ridden by Amy Jo Hayes, unplaced, and Curzon Queen, ridden by D.N. Curran, unplaced, where it appeared it became very congested resulting in a number of runners suffering interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In her evidence Amy Jo Hayes stated that she received pressure from both sides soon after the start. M.W. Hassett stated that he received pressure from both sides. C. Horgan stated that he received pressure from both sides. J.J.G. Ryan stated that he received pressure from his right soon after the start. D.N. Curran stated that he received pressure from both sides soon after the start. J.A. Powell stated that his mount shifted left on crossing the road soon after the start. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.
257G Great National Ballykisteen H'capThe Raceday Stewards requested a report from Timothy Doyle, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Maralinga, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mr. Doyle stated that his charge did not get much luck in running at Gowran Park and added that his yard appears to have hit form of late and felt a combination of both had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Inchiquin Maid, trained by David Kenneth Budds, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged left throughout.
Ms. Sheila Lavery, trainer of Global Energy (GB), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her charge pulled a shoe in running.
