K.E Buckley, rider of Come On The Lads, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount's saddle slipped forward.
K.M. Donoghue, rider of Kazakh D'arthel (FR), trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran away going to the start.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the fact that H.E.Sexton rider of Shing Shilla dismounted as the starter had released the tape and remounted when the race had commenced. Evidence was heard from H.E Sexton who stated that his mount can be very difficult at the start, he also felt he had dismounted before the starter's flag was dropped in the hope of getting his mount to move forward, he further added that as his mount moved forward he remounted to join the race. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that H.E. Sexton was in breach of Rule 216(i) and having considered his record in this regard they cautioned him on this occasion, furthermore the Raceday Stewards disqualified Shing Shilla.
322B Limerick Show H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards requested a report from C.Byrnes, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Redcliff Glen (GER), placed first, as compared with its runs. C. Byrnes stated that his charge has disappointed him up until now and he could not account for the improvement shown today. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its content.
Sam Ewing, rider of Voice Of Reason, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around after the last hurdle.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Brilliant Light (GB), trained by John Joseph Hanlon, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have given one cough post race but to be otherwise post race normal.
322D Focus Capital Novice H'dleP. Townend, rider of Ninth Titan, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and made a mistake at the second last which resulted in him pulling up.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ninth Titan, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
322E Great Nat. South Court Hotel M'dn H'dleThe Raceday Stewards enquired into the start of this race where it appeared a number of horses got tight and were slow to jump off. Evidence was heard from Mr.T.V. O' Connell IHRB Starter who stated that it was very tight for all eighteen runners to get in line which caused a few horses to get tight for room jumping off, he further added he was satisfied a fair start had been effected. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards took no further action.
322F1 Race Displays H'cap H'dleNiall Moore, rider of Quarry Lady, trained by John M.Burke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly right at the top of the hill.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident shortly after the start involving Hees Dynamite, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, and Divilabother, ridden by C.P. Millar, where it appeared Divilabother clipped Hees Dynamite's heel. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
