The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference after jumping the last hurdle involving Wa Wa, ridden by M.J.M O'Sullivan, placed second, and Housemartin, ridden by P.T. Enright, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M.J.M O'Sullivan stated that he got a couple of bumps from his inside and felt it may have cost him a couple of lengths. P.T. Enright stated that he corrected his mount as soon as he felt him drift and felt no contact. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Housemartin had caused slight interference to Wa Wa he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.C. Gainford was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for five racedays.

K.M. Donoghue, rider of On My Bike, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the fourth last and pulled up.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Jerry From Kerry, ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed second, Lord Ffrench, ridden by Mr J.C. Canavan, placed fourth, and Pavilion End (GB), ridden by Mr F. Maguire, unplaced, where it appeared the horses came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr J.L. Canavan stated that he got carried across the track and was ahead of Mr J.L. Gleeson. He further added that he felt Mr J.L. Gleeson bullied him out of the way. Mr F. Maguire stated that the whole field moved out to the left and he suffered no interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr. J.L. Gleeson and Mr J.C. Canavan were in breach of Rule 214 in that they had ridden carelessly, and having considered both their clean records in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended them for two racedays.

The Raceday Stewards advised John Patrick Ryan, trainer of Ben Purple, that a repeat performance from his charge, who refused to race, may render the animal liable to a suspension in the future.
