The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Omniscient (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
276B MB McGrady & Co Chartered H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards interviewed T. Power Roche, rider of Only One Plan, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulations and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that T. Power Roche was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(excessive frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) they suspended him for five racedays.
D.E. Mullins, rider of Kilbride Hill, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stopped quicky up the back.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident half way up the back straight involving Point Gellibrand, ridden by M.J.M O'Sullivan, unplaced, and Kilbride Hill, ridden by D.E. Mullins, unplaced, where it appeared Kilbride Hill was retreating quickly causing Point Gellibrand to collide with the rail. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
276D Watch Racing TV Rated Novice H'dleA. Harvey, rider of Cloonainra, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
J.J. Slevin, rider of Rowdy Romeo, trained by Mrs Caroline McCaldin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount finished lame.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the start of this race, where it appeared that J.W Kennedy, rider of Boston Jury, was unseated shortly after the start of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and the IHRB Starter, Mr D. Cullen. J.W Kennedy stated that after the flag had been dropped he leaned forward to encourage his mount to move into a canter at which point his mount jinked left causing him to become unseated. Mr D. Cullen stated that he was satisfied that the flag had dropped before J.W Kennedy had become unseated. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that a fair start had been effected and they therefore took no further action.
276E Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners S'chThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Eco Pete, trained by P.J. Rothwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.
P.M. O'Brien, rider of My Policy, trained by Patrick Rooney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a noise after the last.
