258A Kara Quinn Memorial Irish EBF (C&G) M'dn

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Expert Analysis, ridden by G.P. Halpin, unplaced, and Genealogy (GB), ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed second, where it appeared Expert Analysis momentarily ran short of room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

258B Newtownanner Stud Irish EBF Stakes

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference close to the line involving Alla Stella (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane, placed third, and Fiery Lucy (GB), ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed second, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. T. Keane stated that both horses rolled towards each other. G. F. Carroll stated that he mistook the winning post and both horses came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that were it not for the admitted error, Fiery Lucy would have been a more comfortable second and they therefore made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

258D Snow Fairy (Fillies) Stakes

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Tarawa, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed first, Uluru, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed fifth, and Wingspan, ridden by R.L. Moore, placed third, where it appeared Wingspan had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. D. Hayes stated that his mount dived left. D. P. McDonogh stated that he had to check when the horse in front switched back inside. R. L. Moore stated that took back off heels as the horse in front shied away from a shadow. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Uluru, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to check near the finishing line.

258E FBD Hotels And Resorts Nursery H'cap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed P. McGettigan, rider of King Thistle (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that P. McGettigan was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g (excessive frequency) and having considered the inexperience of the rider the Raceday Stewards felt a penalty below that in the guidelines was appropriate so they suspended P. McGettigan for one raceday. P. McGettigan was accompanied at this enquiry by Mr. K. Brothwick.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Churchill Gale, trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.
