The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

Ciaran Murphy, trainer of Burren Song (off feed) - €200
M.D. O'Callaghan, trainer of Its All Peachy (declared in error) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

G. F. Carroll replaced R. Whearty on In My Teens, trained by Gavin Cromwell (Race 1)(intended mount a non-runner)
S. Foley replaced K.G. Kennedy on Ben Lawers (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington (Race 7)(intended mount a non-runner).

148B1 KCLR 96FM Apprentice H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the back bend, involving Rochester Mike, ridden by J. Pietropaolo, unplaced, Jazz Dreamers, ridden by J.E. Harnett, unplaced and Deuteronomy, ridden by Nicola Burns, placed first, where it appeared Rochester Mike caught the rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. Pietropaolo stated that when changing his stick hand, his mount shied to the right a step. Nicola Burns stated that she suffered no interference. J.E. Harnett stated that his mount spooked at the dislodged railing momentarily. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed T. Casey rider of Carrickfinn (GB, placed second, where he appeared to stop riding before reaching the winning post. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, in the presence of N.G. McCullagh, Jockey Coach. T. Casey stated that he got unbalanced close to the line and momentarily stopped riding but felt it had not cost him the winning of the race. Having considered the matter, The Raceday Stewards accepted the rider’s explanation and took no further action.

S. Coen, rider of Higher Kingdom (GB), trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount became upset in the stalls.

R. Donaghue-Leahy, rider of Share The Treasure, trained by T.Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount stood in the stalls.

C.D. Fahy, rider of Esque Elegance, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped leaving the stalls and pulled up.

148B2 KCLR 96FM Apprentice H'cap

S. Coen, rider of Cherry Pink, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered in the early stages. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the riders report, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.E. Harnett, rider of Arthur Rose, concerning his use of the whip in in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and stated that he had been working with his Jockey Coach to improve his technique. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.E. Harnett was in breach of R.10.3(h)(arm above shoulder). Having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays.

D.A Kidd, rider of Aoife's Territory, trained by Patrick T. Foley, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away.

148C Irish Stallion Farms EBF Gowran Classic

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident early in the home straight involving Dignam, ridden by S.T. McCullagh, placed fourth, Deressa, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed sixth, Nancy J, ridden by S. Foley, placed fifth and Umala, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed eighth, where it appeared an incident occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S.T. McCullagh stated that he felt he maintained his position. C.D. Hayes stated that his mount was green on today's ground and he felt the gap close. S. Foley stated that his mount shied away from Deressa momentarily. B.M. Coen stated that he was not aware of the incident behind and maintained his line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted other than to advise C.D. Hayes to ride with more patience, if in a similar situation in the future.

S. Foley, rider of Nancy J, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to sit for a few strides in the home straight.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Fiona MacCoul, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never let herself down on the ground.

148D QuinnBet H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Money Dancer, trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

C.T. Keane, rider of Money Dancer, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount may not have handled the ground.

148E Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'cap

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident the closing stages involving Kayhana, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed second and Gotomylovely, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, placed first, where it appeared contact was made. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

M.W Hassett, rider of Fortuna Vera, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he momentarily lost his iron.

148F Ladies Day July 26th (C&G) M'dn

The Raceday Stewards informed Kevin Thomas Coleman, trainer that Kasper Hauser (GB), would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again. They further advised him that a repeat performance from his charge may render the animal liable to suspension.

S.P. Davis, rider of Show Your Workings, trained by Sean Davis, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left from the turn in..

148G Sonix Entertainment H'cap

S.A. Wallace, rider of Escorpio, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

M.W Hassett, rider of Ainm Bentley (GB), trained by Kieran Purcell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
