David Peter Dunne, trainer of Eat The Book, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge coughed post race and furthermore was found to have blood in his lungs on endoscopic examination post race.
033C1 Punchestown Different Colour M'dn H'dleAt the request of the Stewards, H. Morgan, rider of Better Than Heaven, trained by J.P. Flavin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran green, made a bad mistake at the third last hurdle and was held together thereafter to get him to finish having failed to do so in his previous two runs in Point to Points.
At the request of the Stewards, L.A. McKenna, rider of Gaelic Des Chastys (FR), trained by Alan Donoghue, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount missed the first hurdle by jumping to the right, eventually warmed into the race but found the pace to be too quick and in his opinion would be better suited to running over a longer trip.

G.P. Brouder, rider of Steak And Onions trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was tight for room during the early stages of this race.
033D Pertemps Network Group H'cap H'dleS.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Wingin A Prayer trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount felt lame post race.
