R.L. Moore, rider of Amalfi Coast trained by A.P. O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not get a clear run.
The Stewards enquired into an incident approximately two furlongs from home involving Amalfi Coast, ridden by R.L. Moore, placed fifth, Rhythm Of Zain, ridden by M.A. Gallagher, unplaced and Butterfly Island, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed third, where it appeared that some horses got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.L. Moore stated that he got no run and with the front horses coming back, caused him to run up on heels. M.A. Gallagher, stated that he was in a prominent positon early on and when his mount started to weaken, his horse rolled around under pressure. C.T. Keane stated that he followed the leaders on the inside and when the front horses were coming back in front of him, it caused his horse to get tight for room and slightly unbalanced. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference that occurred was accidental in nature and they took no further action.
087B Kilberry Apprentice H'capP.A. Harnett, rider of The Cola Kid (GB) trained by Michael J. Browne, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right in the last furlong.
Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Dee Sprinter trained by Reginald Roberts, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount ran short of room up the straight.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pretty Smart, trained by Patrick Martin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be slightly lame post race.
087D Committed StakesThe Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Lipizzaner (USA), ridden by R.L. Moore, placed third and Logo Hunter, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed second, where it appeared that Logo Hunter crossed Lippizzaner. Having viewed the recording and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Logo Hunter trained by Michael J. Browne, reported to the Clerk of Scales that he had to remove his mounts nose band in the stalls.
C.D. Hayes, rider of Sloane Peterson trained by J.A. Stack, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped a little awkwardly.
087E Vintage Crop StakesThe Stewards accompanied by Andrew Slattery, Trainer and Master to the apprentice A.J. Slattery, reviewed the fall of A.J. Slattery from Sunchart (GB), leaving the stalls. Andrew Slattery was satisfied that his charge had jinked leaving the stalls and had unseated the rider independently of any other horse. Having considered the matter and viewed a recording of the race, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted. A.J. Slattery, on his release from the medical room, subsequently confirmed to the Stewards Secretaries that he was unseated independently of any other runner.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Santiago, trained by A.P. O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Stratum (GB), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
087F Irish Stallion Farms EBF Salsabil StakesThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Willow, trained by A.P. O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
087G(i) Donaghmore H'cap (Division One)The Stewards interviewed G.P. Brouder, rider of Scott Lang, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that G.P. Brouder was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered G.P. Brouder's record in this regard the Stewards suspended him for three racedays. The Stewards also cautioned G.P. Brouder concerning his responsibility to cooperate with an official at first instance when requested to attend an enquiry.
L.T. McAteer, rider of Shumaker trained by Paul Traynor, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran a bit flat.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lady Dahlia, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. P.L. Malone, that C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Winston Wolfe, had weighed in 1.2 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that C.J. MacRedmond was in breach of Rule 231(iii) and having considered C.J. MacRedmond's record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.
087G(ii) Donaghmore H'cap (Division Two)The Stewards informed Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer that Vultan, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Allora Yeats trained by Miss Katy Brown, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount stood in the stalls.
The Stewards interviewed Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Allora Yeats, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that she was in breach of the Regulation and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Siobhan Rutledge was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered her record in this regard the Stewards suspended Siobhan Rutledge for two racedays.
