088C Thomastown H'capN.M. Crosse, rider of Try Hard (GB), trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a little check half a furlong out.
The Raceday Stewards received a report from Miss T. O'Meara, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that D. King, rider of Mr Stanley, weighed in at 1.2 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that his non slip pad and girths had absorbed sweat during this race but also accepted that he had weighed in heavy and apologised on this occasion. Having considered the evidence and his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D. King was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore cautioned him.
088D Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'capAt the request of the Raceday Stewards, M. Mjoka, rider of Coumshingaun, trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was a little uneasy in the stalls , he also further added when the gates opened his mount reared straight up resulting in him getting unseated in the starting stalls.
088E Irish Stall. Farms EBF Med. Auc. (F) MdnThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Collage, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed second, Paris Review, ridden by S. Foley, placed third, and Snowcapped, ridden by N.M. Crosse placed first where it appeared an incident occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. N.M Crosse stated that he got a good run up the rail and received a minor bump close to the line. W.J.Lee stated that his mount ran green and rolled in slightly but felt he straightened his mount straight away. S. Foley stated that the horse on his outside was clear of him when he came across. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
M.P. Sheehy, rider of Green Sky, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room in the home straight.
088F Irish Injured Jockeys H'capThe Raceday Stewards interviewed G.F. Carroll, rider of Duke Of Leggagh, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. G.F. Carroll stated that he thought he was within the limit but accepted he had breached the whip rules and apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that G.F.Carroll was in breach of R10.3 (g) (frequency) Having taken his record into account the Raceday Stewards cautioned G.F. Carroll on this occasion.
088G @GowranPark1 H'capG.P. Brouder, rider of Ellaat (GB), trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a noise from the top of the hill.
R. Whearty, rider of Ballycommon Chapel, trained by P.Cluskey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
R.C. Colgan, rider of Allhart, trained by V.C.Ward, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.
G.M. Ryan, rider of Forge Road, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
M. Mjoka, rider of Red Vermillion, trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount recived a bump passing the stands on the first circuit and also in the closing stages.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Ellaat (GB), ridden by G.P. Brouder, and trained by C.Byrnes. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. G.P. Brouder, stated that he was instructed to sit in take his time and get his mount relaxed and ride him to get home. He also stated that his mount made a bad noise at the top of the hill,got very unbalanced and continued to make a noise all the way up the straight. Cathal Byrnes, Authorised Representative for C.Byrnes confirmed the instructions and also stated that G. Brouder could have been closer and could have been more forceful in the finish. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that on first examination the animal was post race normal, subsequently on later examination the animal was found to be coughing.Samples were takin for analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Allhart, trained by V.C.Ward, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at the nostrils post race.
