P. Townend, rider of Pink In The Park, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pink In The Park, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
022D Bar One Racing Bet (C&G) M'dn H'dleP. Townend, rider of Sir Argus (GB), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped indifferently.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from W.P. Mullins, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Haxo (FR), placed first, as compared with its most recent run. W.P. Mullins stated that his charge ran too freely on heavy ground at Limerick after a long break but settled much better today and this coupled with a good round of jumping and helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
022E Bar One Racing Rated Novice H'dleK.M. Donoghue, rider of La Malmason, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was carried across the track in the closing stages.
J.C. Gainford, rider of Nephin Beg, trained by Sean Thomas Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tired quickly.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Sa Fureur, ridden by Mr R. James, placed first, and La Malmason, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, placed second, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K.M. Donoghue stated that he received gradual pressure from his inside which resulted in him being brought across the track. Mr. R. James stated that his mount jumped the last hurdle and ran green but felt he did all he could to keep his mount straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alterations to the Judges placings, and took no further action.
022F Bar One Racing Exclusive Offer Hcap HdleP.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Oc Go On, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed G.P. Brouder, rider of Ocodango Boy, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, G.P. Brouder accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that G.P. Brouder was in breach of Regulatioin 10.3(g)(frequency), and having considered his record in this regard they suspended G. P. Brouder for four racedays.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from S. Curling trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Ishan (FR), placed first, as compared with its most recent form. The trainer reported that his charge had disappointed on its previous run when pulling up at Limerick on the 29th of December 2022. He confirmed that the rider had furnished a report to the Clerk of the Scales on that occasion stating that his mount never travelled and he felt it may have struggled to cope with the heavy ground. He concluded by stating that his charge appeared to be more suited by a combination of todays more favourable ground conditions over a longer trip and felt this had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation offered.
022G The Bar One Racing Mobile App H'cap HdleThe Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving American Money, ridden by K.E Buckley, placed first, Bint Freya, ridden by B.J. Cooper, placed third, and Glenabo Bridge, ridden by J.I. Duggan, placed second, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, J. Duggan stated that he received contact a number of times which had cost him momentum in the closing stages. B.J. Cooper stated that he was slightly impeded but felt it had no impact on his finishing position. K.E. Buckley stated that his mount was hanging slightly left in the straight but felt he did all he could to keep his mount straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that while minor interference had occurred the winner had not improved its finishing position in relation to any other horse and they therefore made no alteration to the judges placings, Furthermore, they took no further action. .
P. Byrnes, rider of Cafe Del Mar, trained by David J Phelan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
Miss A.L. Fitzgibbon, rider of Brownstone, trained by Michael Winters, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost his action.
K.C. Sexton, rider of Scarbrook, trained by E.Sheehy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Scarbrook, trained by E.Sheehy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a graze on his lateral left hind leg and may have been struck into in running otherwise post race normal.
