D.J. Hand, rider of Pretty Little Liar trained by David Peter Dunne, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the second last.
226C Randox Health M'dn H'dleK.J. Brouder, rider of Kendancer (FR) trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount went wrong behind and was pulled up.
The Stewards received a report from Dr. Lynn Hillyer, Chief Veterinary Officer, in relation to Kendancer, who was pulled up after making a mistake at the second last, that the Racecourse Veterinarian had confirmed to her that Kendancer was not sound upon pulling up but subsequently came sound.
226E Adare Manor Opportunity Beginners SchaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Monkshood trained by Gordon Elliott was found to have blood at the nose post race, possibly as a result of a fall.
226F Downpatrick Best Dressed Lady Hcp SchaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Arch Melody trained by J. Morrison was found to have blood at the nose post race, possibly as a result of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage.
226G A J C Group INH Flat RaceThe Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving I A Connect, ridden by Mr J. J. Codd, placed third, Deo Bellator, ridden by Miss A. O'Sullivan, placed second and Walking Fame, ridden by Mr Pat Taaffe, placed first, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placing. They did however find Mr. Pat Taaffe in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered Mr. Pat Taaffe's record in this regard he Stewards suspended Mr. Pat Taaffe for seven racedays and advised him that he must attend R.A.C.E for one days tuition. Niall Cronin, IHRB communications manager attended this enquiry in an observatory capacity.
