Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board announce the appointment of Tracey O’Meara as Clerk of the Course

 

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB) has announced the appointment of Tracey O’Meara as a Clerk of the Course with effect from 1st December 2018 to take over as Clerk of the Course at Down Royal, Downpatrick, Sligo and Kilbeggan.

Tracey who comes from Tramore, joins the IHRB from Arena Racing where she was Clerk of the Course at Brighton and Fontwell Park. Prior to that she worked as a Racing Executive at Lingfield Park and also worked with Tramore Racecourse in sales and marketing and also on the track.

Commenting on her appointment Tracey O’Meara said that “I am delighted to take up the role of Clerk of the Course with the IHRB and I am looking forward to moving back to Ireland to work in one of Ireland's most iconic industries".

Paul Murtagh, IHRB Head of Raceday Operations said that “We are very pleased to welcome Tracey to the IHRB to complement our existing team of Clerks of the Courses. We have no doubt her experience, particularly in the UK, will enable her to make a positive contribution at these four racecourses, and we wish her every success in this role”.
