The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. P. L. Malone, that N.T. Prendergast, rider of Roccorionach, had presented himself to weigh out at four pounds overweight, none of which had been declared at declaration time. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case. Evidence was also heard from Miss. Evanna McCutcheon, Trainer, who stated that she was happy for N. T. Prendergast to do the overweight if allowed to take up his mount. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the overweight on this occasion. They were, however, satisfied that N. T. Prendergast was in breach of Rule 195 and Rule 198 and having considered N. T. Prendergast's record in this regard the Stewards fined him €150 on this occasion.

Ms.M.Flynn, trainer of Toor Moment, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her charge was coughing post race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Getaday, trained by T.J. Nagle Jr., at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kilgorey, at the request of trainer, Mrs. Y. Dunleavy, and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined She Tops The Lot, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard but otherwise post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.

At the request of the Stewards, D. Robinson, rider of She Tops The Lot, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise after the third last and found todays going too testing.

Ms L. Ward, rider of New Vick trained by V.C.Ward, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her saddle slipped.
