The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Mr. J. P. O'Rouke rode Elle Perfecta (reserve), trained by C.A.Murphy (Race 4)

386A Lingstown (C&G) P-To-P INH Flat Race

Mr H.D. Dunne, rider of Limerick Leader (FR) trained by Aidan Fitzgerald, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no run before turning into the straight.

The Stewards interviewed Mr. H.D. Dunne, rider of Limerick Leader (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the rule. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. H. D. Dunne was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered Mr. H. D. Dunne's record in this regard the Stewards suspended him for one raceday.

386B1 Monksgrange (C&G) P-To-P INH Flat Race

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Armchair Farmer, ridden by Mr R.W. Barron, placed sixth and Big Bad Buzz, ridden by Mr J.W. Hendrick, unplaced, where it appeared that Big Bad Buzz ran short of room and clipped heals. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. R. W. Barron stated that he was unaware that there was a horse on his inside as his mount drifted towards the running rail. Mr. J. W. Hendrick stated that the horse on his outside had rolled in on him and he clipped heels as a consequence. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. R. W. Barron was in breach of rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered Mr. R. W. Barron's record in this regard, the Stewards suspended Mr. R. W. Barron for four racedays.

386B2 Monksgrange (C&G) P-To-P INH Flat Race

Mr E.P. O'Brien, rider of Hans Gruber (GB) trained by J.Motherway, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran too keen.

386C Ballinaboola Mares P-To-P INH Flat Race

The Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Fons Vivus, ridden by Mr D. Allen, placed fifth and Miss Tempo, ridden by Mr D. Roche, placed second, where it appeared that they got close. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Stewards interviewed Mr D.M. Fitzgerald, rider of Denver City, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the rule and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. D. M. Fitzgerald was in breach of Regulation 10.3.I, time to respond. Having considered Mr. D. M. Fitzgerald's record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.

386D2 Island (Mares) P-To-P INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr B. Lawless, rider of Current Mood (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the rule and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. B. Lawless was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered Mr. B. Lawless' record in this regard the Stewards suspended Mr. B. Lawless for three racedays.
