C.P. McNamara, rider of Mag Dillane, trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. This was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer who reported the animal to have blood at both nostrils post race.

236D Waterford FC H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning out of the back straight involving Dads Lad, ridden by B. Hayes, placed fifth, Disco Dancer, ridden by J.W. Kennedy, placed fourth, and Rauzan, ridden by H. Morgan, placed first, where it appeared Disco Dancer ran short of room momentarily. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.W. Kennedy stated that he received pressure from his outside and had to pull back. B. Hayes stated that he was coming under pressure and the incident happened behind him. H. Morgan stated that it just got tight on the point of the bend as his mount leaned slightly in on top of Disco Dancer. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Disco Dancer, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got stopped coming down the hill.

J. Coen, rider of Miss Fourie, trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung very badly and ran off the bend.

236E Broadstreet Bar & Grill Rated Novice Hdl

The Raceday Stewards fined Eoin Griffin, trainer €65 for failing to fit the declared cheekpieces to Hidalgo Des Mottes (FR), prior to entering the parade ring.

Owing to low-lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for hurdle 4 to be omitted from this race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lightkeeper, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Lightkeeper, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

D.E. Mullins, rider of Glendine Billy, trained by Anthony Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled independently the first time down the hill and jumped deliberately.

236F Walsh Butler Ltd Electrical H'cap H'dle

Owing to low-lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for hurdle 4 to be omitted from this race.

J.J. Slevin, rider of Mrs Biddle, trained by Garrett James Power, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was messy at the start.

236G Style Evening August 17th (Ladies) M'dn

Miss J. Townend, rider of Make Sunshine, trained by Alan McIntyre, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount hung right throughout.
