228A Three Ireland Rated Novice S'chase
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Alice Avril (FR), trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Stewards fined Henry de Bromhead, trainer, €65 for failing to fit a tongue tie to Alice Avril (FR), prior to entering the parade ring.
228B Pat & Winifred Woodbyrne Mem Beg S'chasePaul Hennessy, trainer of Prussia With Love (GB), reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board on the 13th August 2021 that his charge burst a blood vessel post race.
228C The Victoria House M'dn H'dleD. Robinson, rider of Trebizond (GB) trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left during this race.
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Brides Hill trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran off the final bend and hung left.
Following a report from Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr. D. Cullen, the Stewards interviewed P.T. Enright, rider of Conkerall concerning his failure to obey the starters instructions. Evidence was heard from the starter and rider concerned. Mr Cullen stated that Conkerall did not approach the start in a controlled manner. P.T. Enright admitted that he was the first rider to move forward and explained that he had difficulty in hearing the Starter and thought that it was in order to move forward. He added that he was instructed to jump off smart and be positive with his mount. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that P.T. Enright was in breach of Rule 208 by failing to obey the Starters instructions. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended P.T. Enright for one raceday.
228D Flynn Hotels H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Walking Fame, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a superficial wound at the back of her left fore knee.
P. Townend, rider of Walking Fame trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left during this race.
228F HOLLYWOODBETS H'cap H'dleAt the request of the Stewards, S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Eaton Lady, trained by Miss Kate McGivern, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled during the race, made a few mistakes jumping and only passed beaten horses in the straight when under pressure.
At the request of the Stewards, R. Deegan, rider of Stormy Native, trained by P.A. Fahy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount raced on and off the bridle throughout the race, jumped poorly and stayed on in the closing stages.
228G FormaHoof (Ladies) M'dnThe Stewards interviewed Miss M. O'Sullivan, rider of Line Out, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In her evidence, Miss M. O'Sullivan stated that her mount was in front on his own and she applied the whip to keep him going but had overused it for which she apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Miss M. O'Sullivan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using her whip with excessive frequency. Having taken her clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Miss M. O'Sullivan on this occasion.
