The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Latin Five, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
189E Tipperary H'capP.A. Harnett, rider of Well Suited trained by T.J. O'Mara, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran away on the way to the start.
A.J. Farragher, rider of Arletta Star (GB) trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly right under pressure.
G.M. Ryan, rider of Madaket Mystery trained by Jack W. Davison, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly in the straight.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Madaket Mystery, trained by Jack W. Davison, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
The Stewards requested a report from Ross O'Sullivan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Kourvoisier, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Ross O'Sullivan stated that his charge's previous run at Galway was it's first run in a handicap but was only it's third start. Furthermore, he stated that the horse was badly impeded leaving the stalls and got a bad fright and never handled the track thereafter. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.
189F Thanks To All The Frontline Workers M'dnThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Silver Fox, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have pulled it's right fore shoe and also to be lame on it's right fore.
189G Racing Again 17th August (Ladies) H'capThe Stewards interviewed Miss S. Larkin, rider of Rock On Seamie, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Miss S. Larkin was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using her whip with excessive frequency and R10(3)(i) by failing to give her mount time to respond to the whip. Having taken her previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Miss S. Larkin for 2 racedays.
The Stewards interviewed Miss A.B. O'Connor, rider of What Wonders Weave, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Miss A.B. O'Connor was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using her whip with excessive frequency. Having taken her previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Miss A.B. O'Connor for 1 raceday.
