The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.E. Sheehy rode Speedy Pix (reserve) , trained by T.G.McCourt (Race 7)

245A Irish Stallion Farms EBF Claiming M'dn

D. McMonagle, rider of Mymacushla trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left under pressure.

245B Camas Park Stud Irish EBF (Fillies) M'dn

W.J. Lee, rider of Rathlin Island trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away out of the starting stalls.

245C Meadowview Stables Race

G.P. Brouder, rider of Cool As Ever trained by B.A.Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was tight for room before the final bend.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Nebo, trained by T.Hogan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards reviewed an incident rounding the final bend about three and a half furlongs from the finish involving Nebo, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed fourth and Cool As Ever, ridden by G.P. Brouder, placed sixth, where it appeared Cool As Ever was checked momentarily. Having reviewed the recording of that part of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Basilic trained by John Gerard Fitzgerald was noted to have blood at both nostrils post race.

245D Coolmore No Nay Never Fairy Bridge Stks

B.M. Coen, rider of Parent's Prayer trained by Archie Watson (in GB), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount fly leaped when leaving the starting stalls.

S.M. Crosse, rider of Pretty Gorgeous (FR) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount received a bump on leaving the starting stalls.

245E Abergwaun Stakes

C.D. Hayes, rider of Back To Brussels trained by J.A.Stack, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not get a clear run.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Mi Esperanza trained by A. Kinsella, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right in the last two furlongs.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dickiedooda, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

S. Foley, rider of Dickiedooda trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount banged her head on the stalls and had no interest thereafter.

245F1 @Tipperaryraces Apprentice Hcap

L.T. McAteer, rider of Shazza trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was short for room half a furlong after the start of this race.

The Stewards enquired into an incident soon after the start involving Shazza, ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed fourth, Catherine Chroi, ridden by Siobhan Rutledge, placed fifth and Graduate Of Honour, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, placed sixth, where it appeared that Shazza checked when racing beside the running rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence L.T. McAteer stated that he broke smart from the stalls, got tight for room and took a precautionary check. D.W. O'Connor stated that he kept straight and received slight interference from his outside. In her evidence Siobhan Rutledge stated that she was not aware of Graduate Of Honour being on her inside and pulled out when she heard a rider's shout. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference was accidental in nature and took no action.

245F2 @Tipperaryraces Apprentice Hcap

S.T. McCullagh, rider of Clew Bay trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount leaned right in the straight.

J. Coen, rider of Nakao (GB) trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away out of starting stalls.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Rock Ya Boy Ya trained by Francis Casey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount clipped a heel early in the race and nearly fell.

The Stewards requested a report from J. S. Bolger, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Bosca Cheoil, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Ger Flynn, Authorised representative for J.S. Bolger stated that he could only attribute the better going conditions to have brought about the improved run. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Stewards enquired into an incident soon after the start involving Clew Bay, ridden by S.T. McCullagh, placed second, Ivy Rock, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed fourth, Rare Flower, ridden by W. Joyce, placed third, Bosca Cheoil, ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed first and Rock Ya Boy Ya, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, unplaced, where it appeared that Rock Ya Boy Ya stumbled and unbalanced his rider. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence J.J.G. Ryan stated that his mount was taking a keen hold when he got tightened and stumbled when clipping a heel. A.J. Slattery stated that his mount was running free and ducked off heels when taken back. S.T. McCullagh stated his mount kept straight but he got pressure from his outside. L.T. McAteer stated that having been slowly away he kicked his mount and moved across but Ivy Rock was running keen and raced up behind him. W. Joyce stated that he felt that he had kept straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that there were a number of contributing factors in this incident and deemed any interference to be accidental in nature and took no further action. T.G. McCourt, Master of J.J.G. Ryan, attended this enquiry with his apprentice.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Afternoonwithsusan trained by P.F.McEnery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away from the starting stalls.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Pak Army trained by J.R. Barry, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount raced keen during the early part of this race.

The Stewards enquired into an incident about two furlongs from the finish involving Hurricane Alex (GB), ridden by D. King, placed fourth and Kannoor (GB), ridden by S.T. McCullagh, placed third, where it appeared that Kannoor(GB) checked in running. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence S.T. McCullagh stated that his mount had picked up when receiving a bump from his inside. D. King stated that his mount was a long striding gelding and he was trying not to clip a heel when moving out to make his challenge. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that D. King had ridden carelessly, this being a breach of Rule 214. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned D. King on this occasion. Elaine O'Farrell attended this enquiry with D. King.
