121B Decoclip Construction Company H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Victor's Choice, trained by Adrian Murray, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Land Lover (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Denis Gerard Hogan stated that the application of blinkers and the tight turning track may have helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Land Lover (GB), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around under pressure.
The Raceday Stewards fined Eddie & Patrick Harty, trainer €65 for fitting the wrong head gear to Relentless Flyer which had not been declared and ordered its removal.
121C Rosses Point Caravan Park M'dnG.F. Carroll, rider of Las Vegas Nevada, trained by Andrew McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount bolted, fly leaped and became very unruly.
The Raceday Stewards advised Andrew McNamara, trainer of Las Vegas Nevada, that a repeat performance from his charge, who raced very awkwardly before pulling up, may render the animal liable to a suspension in the future.
121D Enda McGoldrick Plant & Agri Hire H'capThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident crossing the road involving Kilbarry Jack, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed sixth, Copie Conforme, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed third, and Sheen Falls Time, ridden by N.M. Crosse, placed first, where it appeared Kilbarry Jack had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.P. Whelan stated that his mount jumped at the road and had to take a precautionary check as the other horses quickened up better around him. N.M. Crosse stated that there was a gap there and his mount had a good look at the road. C.D. Hayes stated that his mount had a good look at the road and stepped right. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
121E Web The Tool Company H'capM.W Hassett, rider of Carlo Bianconi (FR), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around a bit in front.
