120A Adare Manor Opportunity M'dn H'dle
P.M. O'Brien, rider of San Franco, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped poorly throughout.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after the start rounding the bend involving Faithful Follower, ridden by Conor Clarke, Maroto, ridden by D.P. Maxwell, and Monnow Valley (GB), ridden by Niall Moore where it appeared Conor Clarke had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Conor Clarke stated that he felt pressure from his left and had to take a pull. D.P. Maxwell stated that he had to take a slight check. Niall Moore stated that on jumping off his mount became a difficult ride and was hanging inwards. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted that Niall Moore's mount was very difficult and took no further action.
120C Strandhill Caravan Park H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Truant, trained by Paul W. Flynn, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
120D Enda McGoldrick, Plant & Agri M'dn H'dleThe Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident close to the line involving Grandy Lane, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, placed second, and Huntsgrove, ridden by D. King, placed first, where it appeared the two horses came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Kinturk Nelson, trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had a trickle of blood on one of his nostrils on pulling up. This was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer.
J.G. Gilligan, rider of Mystical Sandmason, trained by Paul John Gilligan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran out.
P. Hanlon, rider of Whiskey On Ice, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered at the first. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the incident was as a result of Welcome Back jumping awkwardly into the path of Whiskey On Ice and unseating his rider.
120E Johnston Farm Equipment H'cap H'dleOwing to low lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for hurdle one to be omitted from this race.
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Restless Son, trained by Norman Lee, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout and dismounted upon pulling up as he felt the horse was lame.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after bypassing the last hurdle involving Dunany Point, ridden by K.E Buckley, placed second, Cois Fharraige, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, placed fifth, and Cornmarket, ridden by A.M. King, placed first, where it appeared the three horses came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. Stone-Walsh stated that his mount backed out when the two horses came up along side him. A.M. King stated he was clear of the horses on his inner. K.E. Buckley stated that he kept a straight line and felt no contact. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately 150 yards from the finish involving Dunany Point, ridden by K.E Buckley, placed second, and Cois Fharraige, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, placed fifth, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. Stone-Walsh stated that his mount was tiring and he took a precautionary check. K.E. Buckley stated that he tried to switch back out to get a run. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Restless Son, trained by Norman Lee, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have grazed its left hind but to be otherwise post race normal.
120F Kevin Egan Cars Peugeot H'cap H'dleOwing to low lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for hurdle one to be omitted from this race.
T.P. Harney, rider of Irish Envoy, trained by Liz Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped very quickly.
