S. Foley, rider of Benji Bee, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen and stopped quickly.
J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Lord Talbot, trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.
D. McMonagle, rider of Thequietman (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the gates.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Benji Bee, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
315B www.roscommonracecourse.ie H'capG.M. Ryan, rider of Uncle Albert, trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount clipped a heel after a furlong.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the back straight involving Mercurial, ridden by D.S. O'Sullivan, placed second, Uncle Albert, ridden by G.M. Ryan, unplaced, and Top Of The Pops (GB), ridden by W. Joyce, unplaced, where it appeared Uncle Albert clipped a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G.M. Ryan stated that W. Joyce was only half a length up on him when he started to come across. He further added he was roaring and shouting but his ground was taken. D.S. O'Sullivan stated that he kept a straight line. W. Joyce stated that he jumped to make the running and was tracking across to Goldrush Kid but was unaware of the horses on his inside at that point. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found W. Joyce was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Top Of The Pops (GB), ridden by W. Joyce, unplaced, and Von Krolock, ridden by M.W Hassett, placed sixth, where it appeared W. Joyce had to sit momentarily. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
315C1 Roscommon Racecourse On Facebook H'capThe Raceday Stewards interviewed J. Pietropaolo, rider of Little Keilee, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and stated that his mount was hanging. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J. Pietropaolo was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for five racedays.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed J. Cleary, rider of Bang Po, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and stated that his mount rolled around. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J. Cleary was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard(third offence), they suspended him for nine racedays.
Adam Caffrey, rider of Cherry Pink, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no luck in running.
J. Pietropaolo, rider of Little Keilee, trained by Ciaran Murphy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount took a false step down the back.
315C2 Roscommon Racecourse On Facebook H'capK.G. Kennedy, rider of Kami, trained by Mark Michael McNiff, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
L.F. Roche, rider of It's A Gamble, trained by Brian Nolan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right from the turn in.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Gavin Cromwell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Breezy Zoff, placed first, as compared with its most recent run at Bellewstown on the 2nd of October. Gavin Cromwell reported that he was unable to account for his charge's disappointing run the last day. Having liaised with the IHRB Handicapper, the Raceday Stewards considered the report and noted the explanation given.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed L.F. Roche, rider of It's A Gamble, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount hung right and he considered there was an immediate risk of her going through the rail so he used his whip for corrective purposes. He further explained that his hand was high due to the railing being so high. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted his evidence and took no further action.
315D Class Grass M'dnThe Raceday Stewards interviewed G.F. Carroll, rider of Babich, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and stated that one of the strikes was for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that G.F. Carroll was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays.
R.P. Whelan, rider of Sea Of Moyle, trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped the road.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident close to the line involving Firebrand (GER), ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed first, and Babich, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed second, where it appeared Firebrand rolled out slightly and Babich rolled in behind him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
315E Roscommon Rated RaceM.W Hassett, rider of Lucky Out, trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
315G Thank You For Your Support H'capD.J. Power, rider of Jet Times, trained by Oliver J.Power, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount leaned in on the rail before the home turn and he caught one of the uprights. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
