150A Adare Manor Opportunity M'dn H'dle
The Stewards interviewed S.A. Mulcahy, rider of Hardy Man, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that S.A. Mulcahy was in breach of Regulations 10.3 (f) excessive force, 10.3 (g) excessive frequency and 10.3 (h), arm above shoulder height. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended S.A. Mulcahy for 2 racedays and referred him to R.A.C.E. for one day's tuition on the correct use of the whip.
150C www.roscommonracecourse.ie H'cap H'dleThe Stewards interviewed Mark Michael McNiff, trainer, in relation to the late withdrawal of his charge, Pump Road, due to the going. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who accepted that there was no change in the declared going of good, however he did have concerns regarding a small section of the track in the back straight which had insufficient grass coverings. Evidence was also heard from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Course, Mr. L. Wyer, who agreed with the concerns raised by Mark McNiff and stated that he was satisfied with the declared going of good. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the agreement between the trainer and the Clerk of the Course and they accepted the explanations offered by the trainer. Furthermore the Stewards were satisfied that the declared going of good was correct for this fixture. Mr. D. Pugh, Chairman, absented himself from this enquiry which was chaired by Mr. T. McDonagh.
150D Oran S'chaseD.E. Mullins, rider of Divin Desir (FR) trained by I.Madden, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slightly outclassed.
The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. Colleen Murphy, that K.M. Donoghue, rider of Make My Heart Fly, presented himself at scales and attempted to weigh out wearing a body protector with the harness removed. Evidence was heard from Ms. Murphy who stated that K.M. Donoghue had assured her that he had a harness attached to his body protector, however when asked to verify this it transpired that piece of equipment was missing. K.M. Donoghue confirmed the report of the Clerk of the Scales and added that his intention was to change his normal harness for a lighter one and forgot to attach same before weighing out. Ms. Teresa Behan, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Security Official in the weigh room area confirmed the report of the Clerk of the Scales. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that K.M. Donoghue was in breach of Rule 198 (v) and suspended him for 7 racedays.
150E Larry O'Farrelly Memorial H'cap S'chaseThe Stewards interviewed L.P. Dempsey, rider of Roachdale House, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that L.P. Dempsey was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g), excessive frequency. Having considered his record in this regard the Stewards suspended L.P. Dempsey for 2 racedays.
150G Mount Talbot INH Flat RaceThe Stewards enquired into an incident after the home turn involving Weseekhimhere, ridden by Mr J.J. Codd and Birthday Bayeb, ridden by Mr B. O'Neill, where it appeared that Weseekhimhere got tight for room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted an admission from Mr. J.J. Codd that his own mount caused the incident and they therefore took no further action.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hardwired, trained by T.M. Walsh, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
Mr J.J. Codd, rider of Weseekhimhere trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got stopped badly 3 furlongs from home.

Prior to racing, the Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Course, Mr. L. Wyer, that the normal fence number 2 was removed from the three scheduled steeplechases at the time of the course inspection on the 10 July owing to ground conditions in that area.
