H. Morgan, rider of Popong, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. This was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer.
154C www.roscommonracecourse.ie Opp. Mdn HdleS. Fitzgerald, rider of Mercury Mission (GB), trained by Michael John O'Connor, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung violently right the whole way.
M.P. O'Connor, rider of Boots And Jeans, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and was pulled up.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Boots And Jeans, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a minor cut to its near fore heel but to be otherwise post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Thomas R. Hughes, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Aussie Warrior, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Thomas R. Hughes stated that his charge had previously been too keen and was not getting home when dropped in but a change of tactics coupled with a lesser race today had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
154D1 Ivan Connaughton Opp. H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Redwood Queen, trained by C. Byrnes, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.
J.P. Shinnick, rider of Skip Mahler, trained by Mrs Lorna Fowler, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was pulled up after the third last and may not have handled today's going.
M.J.M O'Sullivan, rider of Macs Lady, trained by Shane Ryder, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and may be in season.
