The Raceday Stewards reviewed the approach to the last involving Its Bilbo (FR), ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed first, Lakota Blue (FR), ridden by J.W. Kennedy, placed second, and Slurricane, ridden by T.P. Harney, placed third, where it appeared Lakota Blue had to switch out. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards enquired from J. Kearney, rider of Stiltellinemnuttin, who slipped up after turning out of the home straight. J. Kearney reported that his mount stumbled and came down independently of any other horse. Having considered the matter and viewed a recording of the race, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, R. Deegan, rider of Naturally Nimble (GER), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got shuffled back further then he wanted because of the fallers and he never really got competitive.
359B Sebden Steel M'dn H'dleAt the request of the Raceday Stewards, Mr A.P. Kennedy, rider of Hei, trained by C.A.Murphy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was dropped in and ridden to get home and ran on in the closing stages.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Charlies Girl trained by S. Slevin was found to have blood at one nostril post race.
359E Ryans Cleaning H'cap S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Magic Tricks (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be mildly lame on its right fore post race.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cadatharla, trained by C.A.Murphy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Anna McGuinness, rider of Mr Saxobeat, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who attributed the breach to human error. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Anna McGuinness was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency, and having considered her record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended Anna McGuinness for two racedays.
J.W. Kennedy, rider of Hardwired, trained by T.M. Walsh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a mistake at the second last.
359G Albert Bartlett Triple Crown H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Billy Lee Swagger, ridden by J.P. O'Sullivan, placed second, and Away To Milan, ridden by S.D. Torrens, placed third, where it appeared the two came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards advised Richard James Daniels, trainer of Whatsafellatodo, that a repeat performance from his charge, who refused to line up and was withdrawn, may render the animal liable to a suspension in the future.
359H Mervyn Gray Constr. (P-Am) INH Flat RaceThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Jacob's Ladder, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed the start of this race. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr F. R. Buckley, rider of Heads Up (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount is idle and there was a very loud wind and he could not hear his rivals. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. F. R. Buckley was in breach of Regulation 10.3.c, the hitting of a horse that clearly has its race won (winning distance 24 lengths), and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended Mr. F. R. Buckley for two racedays.
