The Stewards interviewed Mr B. Barry, rider of Father Jed, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence Mr B. Barry stated that he had lost count on his use of the whip and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr B. Barry was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr B. Barry for one raceday.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Exultation (FR) trained by Mrs Lorna Fowler was noted post race to have lost a left fore shoe.
303F Ladbrokes Proud To Support H'cap H'dleN. Dooly, trainer of Where's Bunny, reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board that his charge was found to be in season post race.
303G Irish Stall. Farms EBF (M) INH Flat RaceThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Innisfree Beauty trained by Ciaran Murphy was noted to have blood at the nostrils post race.
The Stewards interviewed Mr M. McGuane, rider of Lizlucky, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence Mr M. McGuane stated that his mount was responding but got joined and headed by a challenger close to the finish and he reverted to the whip once more. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr M. McGuane was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr M. McGuane for three racedays
