The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

M. P. Walsh rode Jerisk Star (FR) (reserve) trained by Liz Doyle (Race 6)
Mr. S. Cotter replaced Mr B.J. Walsh on Prince Zaltar (FR), trained by P.J. Rothwell (Race 4)(Injured)

008A Sky Bet Build A Bet Beginners S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Shantou Princess, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have pulled its left fore shoe but to be otherwise post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed the approach to the second last involving Ney, ridden by K.E Buckley, placed first, and Rokathir (FR), ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, who fell, where it appeared they made contact on take off. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

008C Sky Bet Club Moscow Flyer Novice H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after turning in involving Kel Histoire (FR), ridden by M.P. Walsh, placed second, Relieved Of Duties, ridden by D.J Gilligan, placed third, and Salvator Mundi (FR), ridden by P. Townend, placed first, where it appeared there was contact between Kel Histoire and Relieved Of Duties and then secondly Kel Histoire ran short of room as Salvator Mundi went to the rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M. P. Walsh stated that he maintained his line to the inside rail and then had to take a slight check as Salvator Mundi crossed him but added that Salvator Mundi was clear of him. D. J. Gilligan stated that a gap appeared as they reach the slip rail and things got a little tight as he went for it. P. Townend stated that he did not contribute to the first incident and was then clear of Kel Histoire when he crossed to the rail. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to advise all riders to allow each other more space if in a similar position in future.

008D Sky Bet Acca Freeze M'dn H'dle

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, D. Meyler, rider of Nelson County, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a mistake at the third last.

008E Albert Bartlett Qualifier H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards wished to interview Thomas Gibney, trainer of Sammy Smart (GB), regarding the late arrival of the horse into the parade ring and late arrival at the start contributing to a delay to the off time. However, the Raceday Stewards were unable to interview Thomas Gibney as he failed to present himself for interview. The Raceday Stewards therfore referred the matter to the Referrals Committee in accordance with the provisions of Rule 14 to ascertain whether a breach of Rule 32 and Rule 205 had occurred. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards referred the Trainers failure to attend the enquiry to the Referrals Committee to establish if a breach of Rule 272 had occurred.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the home bend involving Ask Anything, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, placed fourth, and Sammy Smart (GB), ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed second, where it appeared Sammy Smart lost its hind end. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Gavin Cromwell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Londonofficecallin, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Gavin Cromwell stated that he was unable to account for the disappointing run last time out other than it was the horses first run over hurdles for the yard. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.

008F Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Toon Town, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

P.M. O'Brien, rider of Papa Barns, trained by Tom Dreaper, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly left throughout.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.G. Gilligan, rider of Mastermacblack, placed fifth beaten a hundred and eighteen lengths, where it appeared his mount was tiring on the approach to the last. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he felt he had enough horse to jump the last but had steadied his mount into it too much. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted J. G. Gilligan's explanation on this occasion and took no further action other than to remind him of his responsibilities in this regard.
