The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Mr. J.J. Codd replaced D.N. Russell on Ginto (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 3)(injured)
J. M. Moore replaced D.N. Russell on Duffle Coat, trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 4)(injured).
K.C. Sexton replaced D.N. Russell on Farouk D'alene (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 6)(injured)
Mr E. Mahon rode Hunters Song, trained by John Neilan (Race 8)(over night nominated rider)

358A(i) Kilberry Pub & Kitchen M'dn H'dle (Division One)

D.N. Russell, rider of Prevaricate trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount's stride shortened in the home straight.

Derek McGrath, rider of Woodstream Lad trained by R.K. Watson, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped novicey throughout this race.

358A(ii) Kilberry Pub & Kitchen M'dn H'dle (Division Two)

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Simplydbest trained by Gavin Cromwell was found to have had blood at the nostrils post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Fantasio D'alene (FR) trained by Gordon Elliott was found to have blood at both nostrils post race possibly as a result of a fall.

358A1 Kilberry Pub & Kitchen M'dn H'dle

Robin McNeilly, trainer of Stormy Glenn, reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board that his charge scoped wrong post race.

358C Bective Stud H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the first bend involving Burning Victory (FR), ridden by D.E. Mullins, It Could Be You, ridden by A.W. Short, Sassy Yet Classy, ridden by J.P. O' Sullivan, Western Run ridden by C.D. Maxwell and Wearapinkribbon, ridden by B. Hayes, where Sassy Yet Classy fell on the flat. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.P. O' Sullivan stated that he received pressure from general bunching around the bend. A.W. Short, C.D. Maxwell, B. Hayes and D.E. Mullins all stated that they felt pressure from general bunching. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was accidental in nature, and they therefore took no further action.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Burning Victory (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

358D ISF EBF Klairon Davis Novice S'chase

M.P. Walsh, rider of Embittered trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Embittered, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard but was otherwise post race normal.

358F Foxrock H'cap S'chase

B. Hayes, rider of Charlie Stout trained by Shane Nolan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel and was pulled up. This was confirmed by the I.H.R.B. Veterinary Officer.

358G Racing Again December 18th INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed John Neilan, trainer, concerning the reason why he had not nominated a rider for Hunters Song at declaration time, as required under Rule 195 (i). Mr. Neilan stated that he had difficulty in finding a rider for today as most riders he sought had commitments at a Point to Point meeting. He stated that Mr. E. Mahon had cancelled his commitments at that Point to Point meeting to assist Mr. Neilan. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to remind the trainer of his responsibilities in this regard.

Mr. E. Mahon, rider of Hunters Song trained by John Neilan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green.
