The Raceday Stewards interviewed A. Harvey, rider of The Story So Far, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had missed with one of his strikes and felt he was not in breach as a result. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that A. Harvey was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency, and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday stewards suspended A. Harvey for two racedays. On examination the IHRB Veterinary Officer indicated the animal may have been marked and produced photographic evidence to the Raceday Stewards and A. Harvey provided evidence to account for his whip use which the Raceday Stewards noted as they felt the photographic evidence was inconclusive. However, after receiving updated photographic evidence form the IHRB Veterinary Officer the Raceday Stewards reinterviewed A. Harvey who stated that he could not account for the marks. Evidence was also heard from the IHRB Veterinary Officer. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that A. Harvey was in breach of Regulation 10.3.f, excessive force and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended A. Harvey for four racedays.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Sam Ewing, rider of Boston Beach, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had not used his whip any differently to usual and felt the camera angle made it look like he was high with his whip. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Sam Ewing was in breach of Regulation 10.3.h, arm above shoulder height, and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended Sam Ewing for two racedays.
