The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

W.M. Lordon replaced L.F. Roche on Ginormous, trained by Micky Fenton (Race 2)(Injured)

172A Dooley Insurance Group Irish EBF (F) Mdn

G.M. Ryan, rider of Say Yes To Dreams, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled around in the closing stages.

W.J. Lee, rider of Irish Ballet, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount went to edge right in the closing stages, changed legs and made contact with the horse on his outside.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Dandy Khan, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had no luck in running.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Island Girl, trained by J.A.Stack, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was weak in the closing stages.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approaching the last furlong involving Irish Ballet, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed third, Island Girl, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed fifth, and Say Yes To Dreams, ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed second, where it appeared that Island Girl met with interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. A. Heffernan stated that his mount ran green and met with interference from his inside. G. M. Ryan stated that his mount rolled round in the closing stages, but did not contribute to the incident. W.J. Lee stated that his mount hit a ridge when edging out, changed legs and made contact with the runner on his outside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.

172B Kildare Chamber H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Phil's Dream, trained by John C. McConnell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of American In Paris, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.

172D ARKequine To Stockists Near You H'cap

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Perfect Judgement, ridden by C.J. MacRedmond, placed sixth, and Moltophino, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, placed second, where it appeared that contact was made between both horses. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Grand City Hall, trained by Jarlath P.Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had to check inside the final furlong.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Moltophino, trained by John Andrew Kinsella, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left when under pressure.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Grand City Hall, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed fourth, and Moltophino, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, placed second, where it appeared that Grand City Hall met with interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.P Whelan stated that when he went for his race he had to check after he got interference from his outer. J.J.G. Ryan stated that his mount was a difficult ride and felt he had done his best to keep it straight in the circumstances. He accepted that he had used his whip in the right hand despite hanging left, but felt he had enough contact with his right rein at all times. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.J.G. Ryan was in breach of Rule 214 (careless riding) and having considered his record (first offence), they suspended him for two racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Salah Belle, trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

172E Al Shira'aa Racing EBF Naas Oaks Trial

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Greenfinch (USA), ridden by R.L. Moore, placed third, and Hanalia, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed first, where it appeared that Greenfinch met with interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.L. Moore stated that his mount was carried slightly wide which he felt was exaggerated by ridges on the quick ground. B.M. Coen stated that when he moved to make his challenge, his mount got unbalanced causing slight interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action. Mr. P.N. Reynolds recused himself from this enquiry.

172G Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

R. Whearty, rider of Madam Alkaterina, trained by Michael Hourigan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.
