The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer of Church Mountain (Ran Yesterday) - €200

170B Gannon Office Solutions H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from W.J. Martin, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Jazzy Dancer, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that the first time application of both a tongue strap and blinkers, combined with a drop back in trip may have brought about the improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

170D ARKequine Derbymed H'cap

The Stewards received a report from P.L. Malone, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that J.M. Sheridan, rider of Areille, presented to weigh out at 3lbs overweight, having flagged a possible 2lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer's representative concerned Mr. Michael McCormack. J.M. Sheridan stated that he had been very busy this morning and hadn't had time to sweat which resulted in him presenting to weigh out at 3lbs over weight. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the rider to ride on this occasion given the time constraints and the light weight involved but were satisfied that J.M. Sheridan was in breach of Rule 198(vii) and having taken his record in this regard into account the Stewards suspended him for three race days.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hernes Hill (GB), trained by John C. McConnell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be making an abnormal respiratory noise post race.

170E Al Shira'aa Racing EBF Naas Oaks Trial

The Stewards reviewed an incident approximately a furlong and a half from the finish involving Kiss You Later, ridden by J.A. Heffernan where he appeared to run short of room and ease his mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined One For Bobby, trained by J.P. Murtagh, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D. K. Weld, trainer of Suwayra, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge scoped clean post race
