R.P. Whelan, rider of Lady Tilbury (GB), trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled around in the latter stages when under pressure. The Racedays Stewards reviewed this part of the race and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards requested an explanation from W.J. Lee, rider, in relation to his very late removal of the red hood from his mount Moss Tucker immediately before the starting stalls opened and which appeared to land on the ground some strides after the runners had left the starting stalls. W.J. Lee explained that his mount was known to charge the stalls when the red hood was removed so he left it until the last possible moment to remove it today when the stalls opened. Having considered his explanation, the Raceday Stewards advised W.J. Lee to remove the red hood in a more timely manner in the future and furthermore to be mindful where he deposits it.
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Castle Star, trained by J.A. Stack, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered about three furlongs out.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident about one furlong from the finish involving Bated Moon, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, Launch (USA), ridden by K. Stott, Ribchestina, ridden by W.J. Lee, What A Squeeze, ridden by S. Foley and Ziggy's Dream, ridden by K.T. O'Neill where it appeared that Ribchestina moved to the right and Bated Moon, What A Squeeze and Ziggy's Dream came off their racing line as a consequence. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated that his mount was unable to quicken when Ziggy's Dream shifted out onto his racing line when just clear of heels. K.T. O'Neill stated that his mount shied away from Ribchestina but was not impeded. D.P. McDonogh stated that his mount was carried to the right and he had to check but was beaten at the time. W.J. Lee stated that his mount gave no indication of any possible movement until he hit it twice with the whip in his right hand and then he felt it shift a little to the right. He added that he had a strong hold of his mount with his left hand and used the whip in the forehand down the shoulder to straighten her. In his opinion he reacted as quickly as possible and using the best method to straighten his mount at the time. K. Stott stated that his mount edged to the right and was corrected quickly and continued to race in a straight racing line thereafter. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found that W.J. Lee was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, in that he failed to take timely and sufficient measures to correct the situation. Having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended W.J. Lee for two racedays.

Moore, placed second, Betterdaysrcoming, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed third and National Emblem, ridden by S. Foley, placed sixth, where it appeared that National Emblem became tight for room when racing between Broadhurst and Betterdaysrcoming, who both came off a straight racing line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence S. Foley stated that his mount was weakening when the other horses came both sides of him and he was unable to maintain his position. W.J. Lee stated that his mount edged slightly left for a flick of the whip but was straightened up quickly. R.L. Moore stated that he had the whip in his right hand when, in his opinion, his mount shied from Fort Vega (Fr) on his inner which possibly caused his own mount to become unbalanced and make a little contact with National Emblem on his outer. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

Hayes, rider of Encosta, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received a little bit of pressure on the final bend resulting in the filly losing her hind legs.
