The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Stylistic Approach, trained by J. S. Bolger, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
At the request of the Stewards, K.J. Manning, rider of Stylistic Approach, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount which was dropping back in trip today was tight for room early in the race causing him to lose his position when the runners tracked over to race up the near side of the track.
R.P. Cleary, rider of Vocal Ring trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount had to check after leaving the starting stalls.
321B Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dnAt the request of the Stewards, P.B. Beggy, rider of Modus Operandi, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran into a pocket about two furlongs out, checked and stayed on well when getting a clear run.
321C Glencairn StakesThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Laughifuwant, trained by Gerard Keane, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
At the request of the Stewards, C.T. Keane, rider of Laughifuwant, trained by Gerard Keane, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount travelled well into the straight but emptied about two furlongs out.
W.J. Lee, rider of Epona Plays trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount reared up as the stalls opened and was slowly away.
321D Naas Nursery H'capD. McMonagle, rider of No Stopping Her trained by Jack W. Davison, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left up the straight.
At the request of the Stewards, K.J. Manning, rider of Hot Voice, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount travelled well initially until emptying about two and a half furlongs out.
D. McMonagle, rider of No Stopping Her trained by Jack W. Davison, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.
321E Irish Stallion Farms EBF Athasi StakesG.M. Ryan, rider of Miss Myers trained by M.C. Grassick, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was short of room about one and a half furlongs from the finish.
The Stewards interviewed W.M. Lordan, rider of Darkest, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that W.M. Lordan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended W.M. Lordan for 2 racedays.
321F Naas Nursery Of Champions H'capG.P. Brouder, rider of Satisfy trained by B.A.Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped during this race.
The Stewards enquired into an incident when passing a spur defining the course over two furlongs from the finish involving The Names Jock, ridden by M.P. Sheehy, unplaced, In From The Cold, ridden by Sam Ewing, placed first and Ivy Avenue, ridden by R.P. Cleary, placed sixth, where it appeared that the riding was tight at this point resulting in The Names Jock checking. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M.P. Sheehy gave his evidence in the presence of James Gorman and Sam Ewing gave his evidence in the presence of Michael Mulvany. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards advised Sam Ewing to ride with more care.
