The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

John C. McConnell, trainer of No Patience (Off Feed) - €200
J.P. Murtagh, trainer of Deceit (GB) (Declared in Error) - €200
Mrs John Harrington, trainer of Keepupwithmyempire (Change in Going) - €200
Mrs John Harrington, trainer of It's Snowing (Going) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

S. Foley replaced T.P. Madden on Slick Chick, trained by Mrs John Harrington (Race 1)(Intended mount a non-runner)
M.P. Sheehy replaced G.P. Halpin on Black Smoke, trained by Liam Roche (Race 8)(Stewards permission)

147A Irish EBF Median Sires Series M'dn

G.F. Carroll, rider of Static Charge (GB) trained by Joseph G. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received interference turning-in.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Western Cape trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was short of room out of the stalls.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Reckoning Force (USA) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was tight for room early on.

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn into the straight involving Static Charge (GB), ridden by G.F. Carroll and Twenty To Three, ridden by A.J. Slattery, where it appeared Static Charge(GB) ran short of room on the inner. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G.F. Carroll stated that he came upsides about half a length down when he ran out of room. A.J. Slattery acknowledged that he should have left more room on the inner. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found A.J. Slattery, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard the Stewards suspended him for one day.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Western Cape, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

147B Pat Smullen H'cap

D. McMonagle, rider of Pretty Smart trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run.

The Stewards requested a report from W. McCreery, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Amirat Alward, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge didn't handle the ground at Cork the last day. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

147C Remembering John Kierans Rated Race

G.P. Halpin, rider of Mudamer trained by Kevin Prendergast, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right up the straight.

147D1 Shay Rooney H'cap

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Bobby K trained by Michael William O'Meara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered interference after a furlong.

M.A. Gallagher, rider of Bears Hug, trained by Adrian Sexton, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount suffered interference after a furlong.

The Stewards reviewed an incident after approximately a furlong involving Trueba, ridden by M. Beresford, Bears Hug ridden by M.A. Gallagher and Bobby K, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, where it appeared horses bunched up. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Stewards reviewed an incident in the last 50 yards involving Bobby K, ridden by D.P. McDonogh and Macadam's Rock, ridden by W.J. Lee, where it appeared horses came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Stewards interviewed D.J Gilligan, rider of Mary Salome, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who gave his evidence in the presence of J.A. Stack, accepted that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency and having taken his record into account suspended him for 3 race days and ordered that he attend R.A.C.E. for 1 day's tuition in the correct use of the whip.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Karlsberg, trained by Shane Crawley, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards fined Liam Roche, trainer €65 for fitting blinkers to Jenoow which had not been declared and ordered its removal.

147D2 Shay Rooney H'cap

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Gegenpressing (GB) trained by Eddie & Patrick Harty, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran off the turn at the three furlong pole.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bantry (GB), trained by John Joseph Murphy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.

147E John Thomas McNamara H'cap

C.D. Hayes, rider of Hardly Useless trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered interference after a furlong.

147G Happy Birthday To The Snitch M'dn

L.T. McAteer, rider of City Angel trained by James M. Barrett, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost his action turning-in.

S.M. Crosse, rider of Desiderius Erasmus trained by Liam Roche, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
