G.M. Ryan, rider of Spartan Soldier, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.
282B Rose Hotel H'capN.M. Crosse, rider of Purring Along, trained by Thomas Dowling, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning in to the home straight involving Akeela (GB), ridden by A.C. Persse, unplaced, and Draiocht, ridden by W.M. Lordan, unplaced, where it appeared an incident may have occured. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.M. Lordan stated that as the field turned in a few horses ran very wide and as they returned to the racing line he received a bump from his outside. A.C. Persse stated that he was carried wide into the straight and that he was returning onto the racing line and made contact with Draiocht. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found A.C. Persse, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.
282C Kelleher Feeds & Agri Supplies H'capThe Raceday Stewards granted a request from John Andrew Kinsella, trainer, for an additional ten minutes to present Tawaazon for identification by an IHRB Official as required under the provisions of Rule 90(i).
R.P. Whelan, rider of Perfect Judgement, trained by Jack W. Davison, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not get a clear run in the home straight. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the footage and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
282F Listowel Arms Hotel H'capThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Emporio, ridden by J. Pietropaolo, placed fourth, Simply Sideways, ridden by M.W Hassett, unplaced, and Narmar, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed sixth, where it appeared an incident took place. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned in the presence of Mr. K. Whelan who accompanied J. Pietropaolo. M.W. Hassett stated that as Emporio and Narmar passed him he briefly ran short of room. G.F. Carroll stated that his mount was a difficult ride who carried his head high and as he passed Simply Sideways his mount shifted slightly right. J. Pietropaolo stated his mount did drift a little left under pressure but felt he was clear of Simply Sideways. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to advise J. Pietropaolo to ride with more awareness and also advised M.W. Hassett to give a more accurate account when giving evidence in future.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined No More Porter, trained by Adrian McGuinness, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
282G Jet, Peggy & Eamonn O'Carroll Memorial H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Emphasis, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the home straight where it appeared Messerschmitt, ridden by J.A. Powell, placed fifth, briefly ran short of room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
