The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

S. O. Callaghan rode Golden Glen (reserve), trained by Brendan Maurice Walsh (Race 6)
M.M. McDonogh replaced P. Byrnes on Grozni (FR), trained by C. Byrnes (Race 3)(stood down)
P.J. O'Hanlon replaced P. Byrnes on Definiteadare, trained by Charles Coakley (Race 4) (stood down)

129A PAQIT H'cap S'chase

P.T. Enright, rider of Hard Rain, trained by James Daniel Dullea, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered on the approach to the first fence. The Raceday Stewards reviewed a recording of the start of this race and were satisfied it was general bunching and could not apportion blame to any one rider. They were therefore satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Fly De Megaudais (FR), trained by Michael J. McDonagh, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

129C Shoe Rescue Beginners S'chase

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Grozni (FR), ridden by M.M. McDonagh and trained by C. Byrnes. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. M.M. McDonogh stated that he was instructed to drop his mount in, get him jumping and to do the best he could. He further added that his mount jumped novicey early on before getting into a nice rhythm on the final circuit where his mount was outpaced when the leaders quickened up the pace on approach to the straight. He also added that his mount jumped right over the last two fences and stayed on one-paced to the line. C. Byrnes stated that he was very happy with the ride and the performance of his charge considering it was his first run over fences, he also added that his charge has jumped right on some of his previous runs and had not been getting home. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the IHRB Veterinary Officer who stated that Grozni was found to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations offered but advised M.M. McDonagh to ride with more vigour in future.

129D CUBE H'cap S'chase

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from P.J. Rothwell, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Legacy Of Dreams (FR), placed first, as compared with its recent form. David Nolan, Authorised Representative for the trainer, stated that the horse jumped great, appreciated the better ground and second time blinkers and also that he had a good positive ride. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

129E D Pack Beginners S'chase

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Clounts Pride, ridden by G.B. Noonan, placed first and Look Dont Touch, ridden by P.J. O'Hanlon, placed second, where it appeared Look Dont Touch had to switch off his racing line as a result of Clounts Pride running about while in front. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Look Dont Touch, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered from the back of the last.

K.M. Donoghue, rider of Steppenwolf (FR), trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost its action before being pulled up.

A. McCurtin, rider of It'sallabouteve, trained by Brendan Maurice Walsh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the third last fence.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Steppenwolf (FR), trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on its right fore and near hind.

129F Springfort Hall Hotel H'cap S'chase

K.M. Donoghue, rider of Full Noise, trained by Ronan M.P. McNally, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made jumping mistakes.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Full Noise, trained by Ronan M.P. McNally, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Ms Claire O'Connell, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Glen Ava, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer stated that the mare was coming back fresh from a break, she also stated that she can be a bit claustrophobic and needs a bit of room when she is racing which she got today. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

129G 24th June Ladies Day H'cap S'chase

The Raceday Stewards fined Gordon Elliott, trainer €65 for failing fit the declared cheekpieces to The Abbey, prior to entering the parade ring.

K. Callaghan, rider of Influential Lady, trained by James M. Barcoe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
