The Stewards requested a report from Mrs John Harrington, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Aurora Princess, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mr Niall Amond, authorised representative for Mrs John Harringhton, stated that the drop back in trip from its previous run on April 6th at Leopardstown and the application of a visor today had helped bring about apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the content of the report.

T.P. Madden, rider of Kalaroun trained by Miss Tara Lee Cogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not get a run in the last furlong.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Dedillon, ridden by C. Horgan, placed sixth, Talbot, ridden by H.J. Horgan, unplaced, Shahaada, ridden by S.T. McCullagh, placed fourth, and Plunkett (GB), ridden by Ciara Flynn, placed second, where it appeared Plunkett drifted off the rail close home. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. H.J. Morgan stated he suffered slight interference from his inside but it did not cost him a place. C. Horgan, stated he suffered slight interference from his inside but it did not cost him a place. S.T. McCullagh stated he got a bit of pressure from his inside but it did not cost him a place. Ciara Flynn, stated her mount drifted out from the rail under pressure. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that while Plunkett had caused interference, he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that Ciara Flynn, was in breach of Rule 214, in that she had ridden carelessly and having considered her record in this regard the Stewards suspended her for 2 racedays.
