The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Beauty Bella, ridden by J. Coen, placed third, and Eurielle, ridden by N.M. Crosse placed sixth, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned, in the presence of Mr. Patrick McCann, who accompanied J. Coen. N.M. Crosse stated that he received pressure from his inside and had to take back. J. Coen stated that his filly is small and ran green and that she has a high head carriage. He also stated that when he switched his mount out she over reacted. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J. Coen, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended J. Coen for one raceday. In arriving at their decision, the Raceday Stewards accepted that J. Coen's mount had ran green, but were satisfied that he had failed to take all reasonable steps to avoid causing interference.

093D Ardglass Stables Breeze-Up M'dn

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident upon leaving the stalls involving Benzine (GB), ridden by K.J. Leonard, Secret Spy (GB), ridden by G.F. Carroll and The Shootlist, ridden by C. Geerdharry where it appeared interference may have occurred when The Shootlist manoeuvred right after breaking from stalls. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K.J. Leonard stated that he did not receive interference as The Shootlist was clear of him when making its manoeuvre. G.F. Carroll stated that he took back to follow the leaders and not as a result of the manoeuvre made by C. Geerdharry. C. Geerdharry felt he was clear of the horses on his inner when angling his mount in. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, D. Butler, rider of Old Peculier (GB), trained by Mark Fahey, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was very green, didn't handle the ground and just ran on past beaten horses.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Fernao, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount momentarily stood in the stalls when the gates opened.

093E Rathsallagh House Of The Year H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving Vega Magnifico, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed sixth, Cheers Again (GB), ridden by R. Whearty, placed fourth, and Laughifuwant, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed fifth, where it appeared Cheers Again went left impeding the run of Laughifuwant and Vega Magnifico. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. McMonagle stated that he received contact from his right but it had no bearing on his finishing position. R. Whearty stated that his mount went left when he was switching out to make his run. C.T. Keane stated that he was coming with his challenge when he received a bump from Cheers Again but in his opinion it did not affect his placing. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Cheers Again had caused interference, he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that R. Whearty was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly by failing to take reasonable steps to correct his mount and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident early in the straight involving Pierre Lapin, ridden by Adam Caffrey, Rahmi, ridden by D.E. Sheehy, and Cheers Again (GB), ridden by R. Whearty where it appeared Pierre Lapin had to take a check. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
