The Raceday Stewards granted a request from D.K. Weld, trainer of Sara Valentina, to run his charge without hind shoes as provided for under the provisions of Regulation 16.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Marble Angel, trained by A. Oliver, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
405B Ryans Cleaning H'capM.W Hassett, rider of Linger For Longer, trained by Augustine Leahy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hit the gates as they opened, went backwards and was slowly into stride as a result.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the first bend involving Rathbranchurch, ridden by W. Joyce, Half Nutz, ridden by Adam Caffrey, Lively Set, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, and Sunset Nova, ridden by A.J. Slattery, where it appeared that Lively Set had to move off heels. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.A. Heffernan stated that Rathbranchurch moved slightly towards the rail after passing on his outside. W. Joyce stated that he raced inwards and felt he was clear at the time. Adam Caffrey stated that his mount was difficult to settle and over reacted to what went on inside him. A.J. Slattery stated that when Lively Set had to move out his mount had to go with it. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
405C Ryans Cleaning (Fillies) M'dnFollowing a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for a one minute delay to this race.
405D Ryans Cleaning H'capR.P. Whelan, rider of Lord Church, trained by M. Halford & T. Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went right when under pressure.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the first bend involving Lord Church, ridden by R.P. Whelan, Poppadom, ridden by Amy Jo Hayes, and Private Officer, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.P. Whelan stated that he moved out to give room when things got tight on his inner. Amy Jo Hayes stated that her mount leaned towards the horse on her inner despite her best efforts. J.J.G. Ryan stated that he got tight for room on the railing and had to check. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Amy Joe Hayes had made sufficient effort to try and prevent her mount from causing interference and took no further action. Chairman of the Raceday Stewards Mr. M. Moloney recused himself from this enquiry and was replaced as Chairman by Mr. J. O'Shaughnessy.
405E Ryans Cleaning M'dnW.J. Lee, rider of Inner Success (FR), trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed the closing stages of this race involving Alabama Calling, ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed first and Victoria Kesia, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed second, where it appeared that slight contact was made between both. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
405F AOS Security Median Auction M'dnC.J. MacRedmond, rider of Dancing Steve, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.
405G AOS Security H'capJ.M. Sheridan, rider of Apprentice, trained by M.A.Cahill, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ducked right turning into the home straight.
C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Inverbrena, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room near the first bend.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the first bend involving Nusra, ridden by S. Foley, Halcyon Spirit (GB), ridden by A.S. Murphy, and Inverbrena, ridden by C.J. MacRedmond, where it appeared Inverbrena received a bump. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated that he stayed outside the incident and did not contribute to it. C.J. MacRedmond stated that he suffered interference from his outside, but later agreed that it was from both sides. A.S. Murphy stated that she felt she kept her racing line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action. Ms. H. Heffernan accompanied A.S. Murphy at this enquiry.
