111A John R Fitzpatrick Agricultural M'dn

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning in involving Torivega, ridden by R.C. Colgan, placed fifth, and Many Tears, ridden by C.T. Keane where it appeared contact was made between both horses. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R. C. Colgan, stated that on rounding the bend turning in he received a bump from his inside. C. T. Keane, stated that on turning in he took off the heels of a tiring Famous Enough ridden by M. A. Enright and just made slight contact with Torivega. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Hero Blues (GB), ridden by J. Kearney, and trained by G.M.Lyons. Evidence was heard from the rider and Shane Lyons, Authorised Representative for G. M. Lyons concerned. J. Kearney, stated that he was outpaced throughout but came home well. Shane Lyons, stated that he was happy with the ride on a green horse. The horse was examined by the IHRB Veterinary Officer and was found to be post race normal, samples were taken for analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J. Kearney was in breach of R.212 A (iv) in that he eased up prematurely and having considered his record in this regard they suspended J. Kearney for 2 racedays and ordered him to forfeit his riding fee.

111B Captain Dara Fitzpatrick Memorial M'dn

D. McMonagle, rider of Deakin (FR), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left under pressure.

111C Cornelscourt Stakes

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Thornbrook, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

111E Amethyst Stakes

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the apparent improvement in form of Power Under Me, trained by G.M.Lyons, placed, first compared with its recent form. Evidence was heard from Shane Lyons, Authorised Representative for G. M. Lyons, trainer, who stated that the stables horses now seem in better form and that the horse seems to act better on a turning track . Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

S. Foley, rider of Villanova Queen, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not handle todays ground.

111F Clayton Hotel Leopardstown (F) M'dn

J. Kearney, rider of Fiver Friday, trained by Paul Traynor, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount acted up in the stalls.

S. Foley, rider of New Phenomenon, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mounts action shortened in the final furlong.

111G 19th May Friday Night Party H'cap

Adam Caffrey, rider of Finans Bay, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

M.A. Enright, rider of Laughifuwant, trained by Gerard Keane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was short of room turning in.

111H Fund A New Home For Festina Lente H'cap

P.A. Harnett, rider of Amusement, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he lost his irons in the straight.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approaching the final furlong involving Water Nymph, ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed third, Teutates, ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed second, and Amusement, ridden by P.A. Harnett where it appeared Water Nymph may have received a bump. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W. M. Lordan, stated that his mount was rolling left and right in the straight but did not feel he had received any contact. G. M. Ryan, stated that his mount was wearing cheekpieces for the first time and that when challenged he ran away from the winner. P. A. Hartnett, stated that he lost his right iron and that his mount had drifted left in the final furlong. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action. Mr. J. Murphy recused himself from this enquiry. .
