The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

B.Hayes rode In The Trenches (GB) (reserve) trained by Gavin Cromwell (Race 1)
M.P.Walsh replaced K.C. Sexton on The Big Doyen, trained by Peter Fahey (Race 4)(Stewards permission)
J.W. Kennedy replaced D.J. Gilligan on Fakir D'alene (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 6)(intended mount a non runner).
D.J. Gilligan replaced K.C. Sexton on Hollow Games, trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 6)(Stewards permission).

381A Paddy Power 3-Y-O M'dn Hdle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ethical Diamond, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

381C Paddy's Rewards Club S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Captain Guinness, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.

381D Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hdle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Daddy Long Legs (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

P. Townend, rider of Daddy Long Legs (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

M. P. Walsh, rider of The Big Doyen, trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

381E Paddy Power H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the last hurdle involving The Model Kingdom, ridden by M.J.M O'Sullivan, unplaced, By Your Side (GB), ridden by J. Coen, placed second, Minx Tiara, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, placed fourth, and Walhaan, ridden by E. Walsh, unplaced. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M.J.M O'Sullivan stated that he was riding for luck on the railing hoping a gap would appear, but it never happened. J. Coen stated that his mount jinked slightly left on landing, but was clear when he went to the railing. S.W. Flanagan stated that he maintained his line and was unaware of the incident. E. Walsh stated that his mount jumped the last straight but was very tired and was going backwards. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

381F Paddy Power S'chase

The Raceday Stewards received a request from Gordon Elliott, trainer of Fakir D'alene (FR), to substitute the nominated rider D.J.Gilligan, with his stable jockey J.W.Kennedy, due to his intended mount being a late withdrawal due to the going. Mr. Elliott further requested that D.J Gilligan replace K.C. Sexton on Hollow Games. Having considered the circumstances around the request, the Raceday Stewards allowed the substitutions of both riders on this occasion using their powers under the provisions of Regulation 3 as they were satisfied the request was a valid one.

Owing to low lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for fence number two to be omitted from this race.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C.P. McNamara, rider of Real Steel (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that C.P McNamara was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they suspended him for four race days.
